“ Cassius and Loretta Chambers. My father was an immigrant activist from South Africa, my mother a social worker based in Oakland. She met my pops after he had gotten arrested for peaceful protest, and it was love at first sight. I was born three summers after they met, relocating to Kelly Park for a fresh start. My father died in a shootout in ‘08, though my mom resides in the house I grew up in. ”

Many speculate that Cassius Chambers took a bullet for his brother, Avon Chambers.

Avon ‘Cap’ Chambers was a Kingpin during the early 90s, and a South African immigrant.

He spearheaded a militant movement that was involved in a major drug trafficking operation, finally surrendering to the CIA in ‘99.

“ I was the youngest of 12 cousins growing up, all of them scattered across the states. Still, I felt the love from both sides and to this day we keep in touch. ”

“ Exactly who I am. I wanted to be content with what I had. For a long time, I wanted a lot more than I could handle. As a kid, you’re not really sensible to those typa things.. and I didn’t have the license to be wanting a ‘64 Impala. ”

“ It was always basketball at the park. Or racing big wheels down the block. ”

“ I’ve always been a certain level of reserved, I feel like. I was a calm-natured kid, down to earth. Never spoke unless spoken to, that kinda thing. ”
