My room at night is my favorite place to be

I miss the world I once knew so well. Seeing the trees wave as I walked down the road with the calm breeze, the singing birds hidden within the branches, the rustling of squirrels playing tag up and down the trunk. I miss the fresh air the trees had produced for the living virus on this Earth, the virus that cuts them down to build towers of metal and glass, the virus that puts trash in our world's once clean waters filled with majestic creatures. Our world was once so beautiful but much like other viruses us humans had to spread like wildfire and tear down the vessel that keeps us alive. Our home is dying because mankind doesn't care about true beauty they only care about power and who has the biggest ego. I miss the world I once knew, the one you only see in the places that lack beings.
