The cycle of life
What: Celebrating Hari Raya and a friend's birthday!
Where: Palau Ubin, Singapore
When: Hari Raya Pausa Long Weekend
---
To celebrate our Muslim brothers and sisters' holiday (Hari Raya Puasa) and my friend Alex's birthday, we took advantage of the day off and went on a trip to one of Singapore's islands, Palua Ubin (Yes people, SG is actually an archipelago). We took a ferry from a jetty port in Changi Village. The ride costs 2.50sgd and took around 15-20 minutes.
Upon arriving we rented mountain bikes for 12sgd for the whole day. We cycled around the island, and it nearly killed my legs. It was the most extreme cycling experience I have done.
---

WELCOME! The strip of bike rental places. CAUTION!

The boardwalk thingy

The freaking look-out tower that nearly killed my dying legs.

Ze boys are having fun.

Meet my feet. (again) TIRED and EXHAUSTED.

No more tears Mr. Lee
'Cause I absolutely love this awesome art piece so much, I think it deserves its own entry in my blog.

This is a self portrait. Cool right? but wait, it gets way cooler.

Uh-huh. The whole art piece is made out of closed and opened old shampoo bottle caps! :) Niiiice!

I AM SAM
What: Saturday trip to SAM (Singapore Art Museum)
---
Coz my friend and I needed some inspiration, we decided to have a random trip to the museum. I felt so alive (yehess) after the trip.

OMFG! It's a Giant BUNNYYYY!!!!

Hey look it's St. La Salle, never knew that SAM used to be a LaSallian institute. Cool. The inside of the building looks exactly like the LS building in Taft.. but yeah, a bit better coz it's well maintained. It got me thinking, Why can't we-- Philippines -- preserve history like SG? Why? We have such rich culture and history, too bad we embrace Modernization/globalization so much we forget about it.

What he said. Let's not complicate things.

No matter how the truth hurts, it's always beautiful.

White TV room. Video clips made into art by an Australian artist whose name I forgot. This reminds of the TV room in Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, the old one that is.

uh?? @ the Learning gallery. Probably my favorite part of the Museum.

Pixilated still @ the Learning Gallery. you have to be duling to see the picture. HAHA! It's the French thingy.. I think! LOL

Art installation by: Agnes Arellano. Philippines Represent!

ART.
