Tagging system for the Askefinn Week

Due to recent chages of blocking and privacy policy on certain social media sites, we are introducing tagging rules and suggestions for Askefinn week.

First and foremost: Please be mindful to tag your submissions correctly. As said in the rules, we will be reblogging works tagged #Askefinnweek2025.

Feel free to also tag your works by the ship name such as #Askefinn or #アシェトル. However, we won't be reblogging works from those tags unless there is the #Askefinnweek2025 tag.

Please avoid using the official tag of Vinland Saga (#VINLAND_SAGA), any official fanart tag, and do not tag anyone involved in the creation/production of VS.

Other tagging suggestions:

We discourage an usage of character tags, but we're not going to regulate the mention of character names in the submissions. Our position on not using character name tags is based solely on concerns for the safety of others.

Keep in mind that if posts show up on general name tags anyone can see them. Given that Askefinn is the subject of controversy, please think of your well-being when tagging your works. It's now impossible to block users on X (formerly Twitter), so your submissions may appear to people who don't want to see the content, or to people you don't want to see your content.

For this reason, we also allow anonymous submissions via Ao3. If for any reason you do not want your name connected to your work, just add an anonymously posted work to our Askefinn Week collection. We also started a Bsky account for authors who prefer the traditional blocking and privacy system.

We allow submissions with switched dynamics (both Askeladd/Thorfinn aka, アシェトル, and Thorfinn/Askeladd aka. トルアシェ, or anything in between, for example アシェトルアシェ ), but we also encourage clear tagging for top/bottom order. So in case your work includes top!Thorfinn/bottom!Askeladd, make sure this is clear in your tagging and viceversa (top first, bottom second).

We also accept genderbend (女体化) submissions for any prompt. Please make sure to tag it as such or mention it for easy filtering.
