Humanity, Torture, Betrayal, Lies

Humanity

     REN’S GOT A long way to go before he can consider humanity as a whole. he doesn’t consider his efforts in the shaman fights to be for humanity ( even though they absolutely were ) so much as for his family and for other shaman. humanity is a large, general term, and ren’s focus for the time being is the tao family.

Torture

     THE OLD REN would have considered this ploy in getting what he wants, and even to this day will make idle threats of it, but he’s gone long past that point, and after seeing it too many times has no interest. though if it’s a threat used against his friends, he will take it all for them to spare them of it.

Betrayal

     IS ABSOLUTELY SOMETHING that doesn’t fly with ren. for obvious reasons that directly tie in with his family’s history, his intolerance for betrayal is very deep rooted. betray him once, good luck earning his trust and respect again.

Lies

     A BLUNT TRUTH is infinitely more productive than a well-spun lie. the old ren would have rather employed skillful manipulation, though he’s realized that beating around the bush and going to ridiculous measures to obtain something is useless. he’s made it a point to be more forward and to-the-point, therefore saving time and breath.

outofspirits; I’m honestly still really fucking pissed about what the anime did to Ren’s tattoo. That was some really symbolic shit and they basically said “hEHE LET’S GET RID OF IT FOR FUNZIES BECAUSE YOU KNOW, TATTOOS CAN TOTALLY JUST VANISH. ’ I mean, most of my attachment to it comes from Ren’s first death, where it was pretty much split in half, and it kinda manifests some of  his newest revelations. i DONT KNOW MAYBE I’M JUST BITTER!?
