if we do end up with dlc for avowed, i hope they get real weird with it. for as much as i love the areas we see in the game, they were tamer than i had imagined the living lands to be. i want them to kick it up a couple notches.

whenever i play another rpg and come back to pillars or avowed it feels like coming home. eora, my beloved <3

having bounced off the pathfinder games and struggled to finish act 3 in bg3, i think i lay the blame on the fact that i do not vibe with porting ttrpg rulesets to video games. at all, really. which is a shame.

but i am at least managing to near the end of bg3 despite this (and with the help of cheat mods) and because of how well its character writing hits.

the current state of Eora (as of me being halfway through Avowed) is kind of crazy tbh. like. we may or may not be in the midst of a slow apocalypse. most of the world hasn't gotten the memo yet though, so they're just. kind of doing their own thing. while the world may or may not be ending.

i think part of the reason i like avowed so much is that the trapped god trope is one of my all time faves.
