I have a new category in the shop, titled Patterns. This adds items such as leggings, socks, and backpacks.
For easiest navigation, I suggest my Pinterest board. As of posting this I only have eight pieces but a lot of stuff happened this weekend so expect a lot more the next few days.

At the moment I'm trying to find antique 1920s wallpaper, and of course all that's coming up is the 2013 Great Gatsby black and gold backdrops. Why are people so fucking brain dead to the 1920s? Art Deco came to America in the late 1920s, that art style took off in 1933 after the Worlds Fair! Great Gatsby takes place in the early 1920s when the main art style was Expressionism, even in other countries - it was used in films such as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Metropolis. There was also Surrealism and for a time Neoclassicism, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali were changing up the art styles every other week.
Saying Art Deco was the art style of the 20s is a lie. The 1930s art style was all about geometric lines and shapes, even architecture and furniture shows off Art Deco style. It was as popular as the Art Nouveau art style craze several years earlier.

Such great points, especially the coal strike.
I love how this guy made a big deal about saying "there's a difference between Titanic enthusiast, and Titanic historian", went through that ego fueled speech about how he was the historian and borderline expert on the subject, yet he can't stop using this photo
Tumblr media
A photoshopped image of what could be RMS Titanic. At this point I've come across so many of these fake images, some use screenshots from the movie so there's that to consider. Perspective is everything, whoever made these photos have zero concept of just that, or how set shadowing effect correctly. This image is like four images in one - why is the ship blurred but the men in the corner crisp? Then of course steam is used to hide something, and it's heavily pixelated, so I'm guessing a stock photo stretched out. In actual images of Titanic and even Olympic, you rarely see steam - that should tell any Titanic fan/historian/enthusiast that these photos are the fakest thing in Fakeville.
I give you a perfect example that proves why that above image is 100% fake:
Tumblr media
This was taken by Father Browne back in 1912, and as you can see people on the dock are like specks next to the great ship. Sherlock senses people! Question everything and you won't get scammed.
This is coming from a photo major who was trained to spot bullshit.

Writer's troubles #235
It's not writers block, it's the inability to find an ending to the story.
