Different Ways To Customize Your Motorcycle
Tumblr media
Motorcycling is an incredible way to get out and enjoy the open road. But even with the right bike and the perfect clothing, you can't help but feel like you could be doing more. So in this article, we'll look at different ways to Customize your motorcycle to make it the way you want it. From changing the color of your bike to adding extra safety features, there's no limit to what you can do!
Brakes and Wheels
The Brake system is among your motorcycle's most significant components. Whether riding a sports bike or a cruiser, you must ensure your brakes are up to the task. Here are some ways to improve your braking experience:
● Upgrade to better quality brake pads. Cheap pads will wear out quickly, causing your motorcycle to stop much more slowly in emergencies. So spend a little extra and get something that will last longer.
● Get new brake rotors. If your motorcycle has drum brakes, it's crucial to replace the rotors every couple of years or so as they become warped and may even become dangerous. For disc brakes, it's usually recommended to replace the rotors every three years or so.
● Change your brake fluid regularly. Brake fluid is essential to your braking system and should be changed every few months or when it looks like it's starting to wear down. Also, ensure you get a high-quality fluid specifically designed for motorcycles.
Gears and Shifting
There are various ways to customize your motorcycle for your riding style. Whether you're looking for a more relaxed or aggressive ride, there are a few different adjustments that you can make to your motorcycle's gearing and shifting.
One way to change the gearing on your motorcycle is to change the number of gears. This can be done simply by changing the number of chain rings or sprockets on your bike. Changing the gearing can make your bike nimble or slower, depending on your wants.
Tyres and Wheels
When it comes to tyres and wheels, they're a lot of different ways to customize your motorcycle. Here some tips on choosing the right size and type for your bike.
 Tyre Size
The first thing is the size of the Tyre you need. Most motorcycles come with a standard front and rear Tyre size, but there are also a variety of other sizes available. You'll want to make sure that the size you select is compatible with the wheel size of your bike. If you're ambiguous about what size Tyre you need, you can measure the width and height of your front and rear wheels. Then, use this info to find a matching Tyre size on our website or in one of our catalogues.
Wheel Size
The next thing to consider is the wheel size. Most motorcycles come with either a 17 or 18-inch wheel diameter. However, there are also a variety of other sizes available. You'll want to ensure that the wheel size you select is compatible with your bike's Tyre size.
Exterior Styling
Different ways to customize your motorcycle exterior include adding decals, painting the bike, and installing accessories. One way to add personality to your motorcycle is to choose a set of decals. There are plenty of options available, including those that feature obscure cartoon characters or striking images of nature. You can also create your designs by mixing and matching different templates.
Paint is another popular way to personalize your motorcycle. This option offers a wide range of colors and designs and is relatively easy to do yourself. Just be sure to use quality paint that stands up to the elements. And don't forget about accessories! Motorcycle mirrors, handlebars, and front fenders are great ways to add detail and flair to your bike.

How do I Know What Handlebars to get for my Motorcycle?
Tumblr media
When it comes to motorcycles, there are a lot of things to consider. One of the most important decisions you'll make is what type of handlebars to get. There are many different options available, and it can be difficult to decide which is best for you. This article will discuss the different types of handlebars available for Harley Davidson V Rods, and we'll help you decide which one is right for you.
Handlebars are an important part of the motorcycle, as they control your steering and balance. When choosing handlebars, it's important to consider your needs and preferences. If you want a more relaxed riding experience, you may want to consider cruiser bars. These bars are wider and more comfortable than other types of handlebars, and they allow you to sit in a more upright position. If you're looking for a more sporty riding experience, you may want to consider clip-on bars. These bars are narrower and more aerodynamic than cruiser bars, and they allow you to assume a more aggressive riding position.
Ultimately, the type of handlebars that you choose is up to you. However, it's important to remember that different types of handlebars will offer different levels of comfort and control. Be sure to test out different types of handlebars before making your final decision so that you can find the perfect setup for your needs.
Motorcycle handlebars are available in a variety of materials
Motorcycle handlebars are typically made from either steel or aluminium. Steel bars are strong and durable, but they're also heavy. Aluminium bars are lighter than steel bars, but they're not as strong. If you're looking for a balance between strength and weight, you may want to consider getting Chromoly bars. These bars are made from a mix of steel and chromium, and they offer the best of both worlds.
Motorcycle handlebars come in a variety of sizes
Motorcycle handlebars come in a variety of sizes, so it's important to choose the right size for your needs. If you're not sure what size bars you need, you can always ask a professional at your local motorcycle shop. They'll be able to help you find the perfect set of bars for your motorcycle.
If you are thinking of upgrading your motorcycle handlebars, look no further than Taverner Motorsports. We can custom-make your handlebars for your motorcycle that will suit your needs and preferences. Contact us to request a quote.

Motorcycle Trends For 2022
Tumblr media
The motorcycle industry has been growing steadily over the past five years, with even more people taking to the open road and enjoying the wind in their face. Motorcycle trends are changing rapidly, and 2022 will bring about some significant changes
4 Motorcycle Trends For 2022
Motorcycle trends are constantly evolving; as these bikes gain popularity and more people begin riding, it's essential to keep an eye on emerging trends to prepare yourself for the future of motorcycle culture in 2022 and beyond.
1. Electric Motorcycles
Better technology is making electric bikes more available than ever before. Two-thirds of drivers would consider an electric vehicle for their next purchase. In addition, automakers are also starting to embrace electric bikes, which makes them a safe bet for investors looking to get in on future trends. Electric motorcycles have been rising over the past few years, and we expect that trend to continue in 2022.
2. Improvement In Motorcycle Technologies for Better Riding Experiences
Technology has made riding comfortable and safe by making helmets lighter in weight and better shock absorption. Speed has also increased, which is evident from new motorcycles with fuel injection systems or turbocharging engines to improve their performance.
3. AR Helmet
As more riders integrate augmented reality into their daily lives, AR helmets that overlay motorcycle metrics and directions on top of a rider's line of sight will become increasingly popular. In addition to helping with navigation, these helmets could also be used in other ways: consider motorcycle police officers to pull up an overlay on crime stats or traffic patterns along their route.
4. Retro Inspired Motorcycles
Vintage or retro looks will inspire motorcycles in 2022. Many of today's models are already starting to take on a more classic look, with less modern and more sport-inspired styling. This is partly due to an increase in hipster culture and biker gangs made up of young people who don't want to ride something that looks like their parent's bike. A motorcycle does not need to be old or vintage to have a retro look.
Taverner Motorsports offers a wide variety of motorcycle services, including a motorcycle workshop, helmets, parts and wheels, as well as a selection of motorcycles for sale. For all your motorcycle servicing needs, contact Taverner Motorsports today.

How does motorcycle suspension work?
Tumblr media
Motorcycle suspension is a set of systems that support and control the movement of a motorcycle on different types of surfaces. The suspension comes in two common forms: spring suspensions and air spring suspensions.
Spring suspension relies on piston-like compression springs, which suspend the wheel from a single point or multiple points. Air spring suspensions use air compressed by pumps to push and pull up to four shock absorber arms, connecting to the front wheel. This suspension type uses fluid instead of solid parts for ride comfort. Without sacrificing safety, it relieves weight off the drivetrain for better acceleration, handling, braking, or drivability on rough terrain.
How does motorcycle suspension work?
Suspension is a vital part of a bike. The system absorbs bumps in the road and keeps the tyres firmly planted on the road. The suspension on your bike serves two primary purposes: to keep its wheels in contact with the ground and soak up bumps to keep you comfortable.
Motorcycle suspensions utilise a damper and a spring combination to isolate the chassis and rider from road imperfections. The spring allows a motorcycle wheel to move independently from the chassis, and dampers control and manage the movement of the spring.
Springs are coiled steel wires that compress or stretch when acted upon by an external force. Spring rate is the pressure required to compress it a certain distance, typically measured in pounds per inch.
Dampers direct spring action using a hydraulic fluid that moves through several paths and limitations, and the piston moves within the body shock in the hydraulic fluid's bath. The liquid's weight and the passage's size control the piston's travel speed. When a bike comes across a bump, dampers steady spring compression and rebounds as the fluid slowly travel through the shock body's passages.
In the absence of suspension, any collision between bike tyres and the imperfection on the ground is uncomfortable and, even worse, can cause a dangerous crash.
