i actually need to know people's thoughts on this because at least in my experience the answer to this has drastically changed since i was on tumblr in the 2010s and its driving me fucking insane
*im talking about fandom takes specifically. not someone being horribly evil about a real-life issue or or blatantly factually incorrect. literally just harmless fandom disagreements or differing interpretations of a text/character/etc.
#it really depends on how horrendous the take is#comments are for being friendly and informative#directly to the person#reblogs are for when the post asks for my opinion or has different ones#but I won’t disagree with my mutual in reblogs#my own post is for popular headcanons that surely someone must see it my way about#I’ve made like three of those posts ever#mutual is when the fandom would be unfriendly about my opinion#and I don’t want hate mail#or if it’s actually pissing me off#there’s a scale
