“it’s kinda amazing, isn’t it?” fallon asked the person next to him. “that this place has been a safe haven for a hundred years now? i think that’s really cool…” he realized that maybe it wasn’t the best conversation starter but at least he was trying to branch out a little bit and not be so cooped up by himself like he had been the past few weeks.
“I agree,” Taylor replied. “When I found out this place existed, I knew I had to come.”

“I’m good, but thanks.” She offered a friendly smile as she declined their offer. She wasn’t much for small talk, but given she was relatively new in town it wasn’t such an awful thing. “So, are you having a good time? I’ve never been one of these things. Its more lively than I expected.”
“I haven’t been to many of these events myself. Or, I have a hard time remembering them at least. Last time I blacked out right as things got a little chaotic.” She tried to explain. “But from what I remember, it was well attended.”

kaydenuncovers:
Kayden arrived late, wearing a new suit. His notebook and lucky pen were in his inner pocket, and he was in most aspects a man on a mission. He’d been wanting to get to Hawthorne for a good while now, and finally he’d made the move. There were layers upon layers of deception to his plan, but that was nothing new. He was sure someone in Hawthorne would recognize him, and that his fake name could only last so long anyway.
He made his way to the open bar, mostly for an excuse to strike up conversation. While in line he turned to the person next to him. “Hey there, I’m Noah, I just came into town earlier today.”
Taylor had been sitting at the bar, all by herself. She was nursing on a martini and keeping her eye out for someone, anyone, she might know. She was draped in a silver dress she had made herself. I hugged her form and had a sensual split down the side, revealing her leg.
She turned to the voice and smile. “Hello, I’m Taylor.” She put her drink down and moved a few strands of hair from her face. “I came into town not to long ago myself.”

“Well, that’s good to know.” He said with a beaming smile. “This town does have it’s charm, and who better to represent it than the locals themselves.” He gave her a small wink, taking back the phone once she was done. “I can’t wait, it’ll be an experience like no other.”
“Exactly, look out for call from me soon. I’ll need you to come in for some fittings.”

“Can you really blame them? Not only is this town small, there’s creatures that could kill them. Even I wouldn’t want them to come if they didn’t know the truth about Hawthorne.”
“No one here would really harm them, would they?”

Grayson looked down and shook his head. He began to laugh a little bit before looking at Taylor. “Little girl I don’t consume him. I AM Him.” Black said as a ball of fire lit in his hand. “I could easily burn you to the ground.” He said standing there. “Or I could burn this entire place down. With everyone in it.”
“Why don’t you then?” She asked. “I care very little for this wasteland. I have grown to like this body, though.” She sighed out of boredom. “Such a shame, this girl has no fun powers. Just another mortal.” She almost past at the word, as if it were venomous. “She is a pretty little thing, isn’t she though?”

“Thank you, it’s a great ego booster to hear,” he smiled. Ben had been doing better in terms of not acting like a royal ass. “There’s got to be someone else around here willing to help out.”
“I’m sure I’ll find someone. I just wish the talent agency I pay for would send some models out here. That’s the problem with models who work on the biggest runways, they know their value.”

“It’s a paid gig too? Shit.” Emerson really didn’t know what he was getting himself into, and yet he couldn’t turn it down. “Sign me up! Seriously, I’ll give you my number so you can get me more details whenever the shoot it, huh?”
“Honey, this is not amateur you’re working with,” she said, taking his phone and typing in her contact information. “The agency I work with can’t send anyone out, so I have no choice other than to ask the locals. Luckily, the look I’ve been working on are very inspired by this small town’s charm.”

Taylor watched as the person she had been chatting with collapsed to the floor and began to writhe with pain. She herself got tense for a moment, unsure of what to do. “He-help!” She called out, she began to lose her own balance. “Someone!” She looked around, as she yelled, only see others at the party exhibiting similar symptoms. She screamed in fear, completely unaware to what was happening.

Grayson sighed as he sat in the corner reading a book. The words were getting hard to read and he closed his eyes. He groaned as he looked around. He had a headache and could feel his body getting weak. LET ME OUT! The voice in his head rang out. almost demonic sounding. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN AND LET ME RUN FREE! the voice growled out again. He groaaned and sat there suffering.
“Let it out,” a familiar voice seductively whispered. Almost as if she had materialized out of thin air, Taylor’s body sat beside Grayson. She gentled brushed some hair from the others face. “Let it consume you, Grayson.”

“You know, I have been told that I’m in the best shape of my life right now. Hell, if it’s activewear, I might consider it, since that’s kind of on-brand for what I do for a living. You’re not shitting me, are you?”
“No, of course not. You’ll be paid, handsomely. And this catalog will be going to Paris, London, Milan. Everyone will see you wearing an original design.”

“I’d rather not. Being placed in a particular time period makes things a little complicated later on in life.”
“Such a shame, you’ve got a jawline even Adonis would be jealous of,” she said with a girlish chuckle. “I understand though.”

“Brave enough? You wouldn’t know the first thing about it. Worshiping something gives you an excuse to lean on when the world starts going to shit. No one realizes they aren’t actually there for them when they need it most.”
“Those who receive gifts from the Lord don’t rely on Him when the world goes to shit. They just do act.”

“Well, I guess if I took all the precautions, I’d stay cooped up inside all day, but I can’t very well become a recluse.” He stated back starkly. “Lead the way. I’ll try to keep up—” He held out a hand, hoping for the guidance.
She took his hand, and began to pull him through the alley. “Try to keep quiet,” she warned, as they took a corner. Something scampered behind them, in the shadows. She turned to look, her eyes scanning the dark. In this form, any power she was limited. She squeezed his hand and began to run.

Isabel’s brows pulled together in a small frown at her words. “Well, I’m sorry to hear that they are your ex-fiance.” Unsure of what to say, she tried to place herself in the others shoes. “I can’t imagine having a drastic change in a relationship. Was it recent?”
“It was, but it was mutual,” she assured the other. It was a lie, but it was easier than saying she left him because she was worried her resurrection had somehow changed her. “It’s kind of why I came here,” she said. Not a complete lie, but not the full truth. “I’m a fashion designer. I have studios in Paris, New York, and Milan. I could have gone to any of them, but everyone there knows me, and my ex. I needed sometime to clear my head. I decided getting lost in some sea side town was a good place to start.”
