Hi Sarah. Is it okay to feel disappointed that the album isn't more about her long-term relationship? I lost my partner of a decade at the same time as Taylor's breakup was announced, and I was really looking forward to an album full of So Long London, etc. I know Taylor's life is obviously not unfolding for entertainment. And I am so thankful for this album! I feel like it's wrong of me to feel this way, and I think you have a really good head on your shoulders so I'm seeking your opinion.

Hi! I think it’s normal and understandable to want to seek out and find comfort in art that you can relate and apply to something you specifically went through. That is a nice feeling and one of the best parts of art! And so to not have quite as many pieces of content to relate to a specific experience you went through can feel like an expectation shift to get around.

Also, Sarah, I know Taylor loves a bait and switch moment. Do you think that was what the album promo was? All signs pointed at one thing, and we got another. It was beautifully done and I'm in love with the whole thing. But do you think that was intentional on her part? Like sort of "you don't actually know as much as you think you know, guys."

Hi! Yes. I talked about this very thing pre-release as it related to reputation and if Taylor was in fact going to do that again thematically with TTPD.

we'll be doing lyrical analysis on this album(s) for probably ever, but today I'm stuck on the journey from King of My Heart (I'm your American queen) to "My boy only breaks his favorite toys/I'm queen of sandcastles he destroys" and like all the Castles Crumbling of it all, PLUS the High Infidelity/YLM connections to killing someone you swear you love.... LAYERS!!!! like.. I thought I was your FAVORITE TOY??

Tbh, fortnight fits the least of the Eras vibes to be but she is a single!! So many thoughts!!

Thinking about how almost a year ago, my mom thought it would be fun to try to get Eras tickets in Paris, since she wasn't able to get them stateside and NOW THERE'S POSSIBLY/PROBABLY GOING TO BE A SETLIST CHANGE and I AM NOT PREPARED FOR THIS!!

p.s. I was inspired by you to get some black ankle boots for our Paris trip. Would you mind sharing what you normally wear with them socks- / tights-wise? I only have white athletic socks and I feel like that will look weird?

OH MY GOD I will be thinking of you on the day and hope you have the absolute best time of your life at the show and also in Paris?

P.S. Depends on the height shaft of the boot but I would wear socks that do not peep over the top personally.

I have a misheard-adjacent lyric in Down Bad that I just can’t get past. Logically, I fully understand where she’s going with “I lost my twin” - twin flames, that person who you are so connected with, etc.

But since the very first listen, each time I hear it I immediately flash back to that first day we learned about Joe in 2017, reading an article with photos of them side by side at the top, and thinking “wtf… they look related…”

My best friend quite literally asked me point blank if I ghostwrote that line because (amongst friends) it's a running gag that one of my favourite 'games' is Siblings Or Dating.
