kissy kissy headcanons,,, Fulgrim loves being kissed pretty much everywhere (body worship kink in full swing), but if he had to pick a favorite spot, it would be either his ankles/feet or his temple. He giggles when Ferrus kisses him on his temple, I'm talking butterflies in his stomach kind of giggle. Ferrus says he doesn't care, until he either: a) keeps Fulgrim's head on his chest, while the other goes to town on it or b) he frowns and pulls away his hands/arms, that Fulgrim tried to kiss Gomez Addams style :(

I don’t want to play the game again but for that man I’m going to. This is what I get for playing a guy RT first.

Heinrix romance

I love everything about it. I love its distinct catholic flavour. I love how unapologetically cheesy it is at times. I love that they didn't deny us the good ending for the sake of ''let's get real here''. I love that the best part of the romance is the text descriptions of Heinrix's multifarious face ticks transforming into a full-blown romantic breakdown.

I love the pacing and how you can deduce what goes on in Heinrix's head at each stage.

First, he notices that you are kind of cool. Then he spends a couple of weeks convincing himself that thinking that a beautiful woman is kind of cool is NOT having feelings for her. It's respect.

After a short while, Heinrix stops fooling himself. He knows, however, with utmost certainty that the relationship is doomed from the start and a dalliance would not be an option with someone like the RT.

He finds the solution in his knightly upbringing: chivalry, courtly love, admiration from afar. To shamelessly quote wiki, "an experience between erotic desire and spiritual attainment, a love at once illicit and morally elevating, passionate and disciplined." He can afford very little: sometimes to play regicide with the RT or maybe kiss her hand from time to time, to protect her, and to become a better person through her.

And then, after Commorragh he snaps: he realises that he wants to love and be loved like a normal person, know true happiness even if it won't last. It won't interfere with his work. Or his duty. RT is a worthy person, they will surely understand.

But the more time passes, the more desperate he becomes: it means that his happiness will very soon dry out. He will have to go back to his previous life of lonely travel and no meaningful human connection.

If during the date scene you try to pull away from him after he confesses his love for you, he will not let you go. He still has precious months, maybe even a year of happiness. He is not ready to let go.

And after certain events, he finally snaps. The thought of finally letting go the happiness and going back to the dreary existence of an interrogator. The feeling that he might betray the organisation that gave purpose to his cursed meaningless existence. The fear that the Inquisition might not be worth the sacrifice after all, he paid decades of service to it, is it not enough?

And then he makes the decision. Either to do his duty, but have a corner of happiness somewhere far away in the Koronus Expanse where he occasionally has a chance to go and remember that he is still human. Or to give in and be human full-time, so to speak.

What a fantastic romance, thank you Olga Kellner from the bottom of my thorn-birds-made-me-a-catholic-priest-fights-temptation-fetishist heart.
