Manga Vol. 20 - OUTRO transl.

According to the calendar it should be spring….but on my legs is a heating blanket and right on my side is a heater, but if I would go outside I would presumably see blooming cherry blossoms…. Ach, I want to undress from my winter clothes finally! Apropos, I’m Kyujyo - Bon Jour! (This is an old any for me characteristic allusion for the invitation to the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi-Show which I have accepted and I went to Paris.)

France…was impressive…it was great to have the opportunity to speak there to the madams and mademoiselles and monsieurs. Though it’s the same in Tokyo at autograph sessions, but I have rarely direct contact to the readers and the opportunity not only to see them but to speak and shake hands…this makes me feel - (in Japan as well as in France) like to host a visitor who has come from far away. Anyway, I’m really glad to have met all those people.

And I’m happy that the new volume is published now! Thank you very much for having read the 20th volume of the manga-version of Trinity Blood! And I’m happy that I could get Sister Paula on the cover this time. For her hair color I have let myself inspired by the slightly violet shade in the anime which I thought it is cute. However, till short before the deadline, I couldn’t really decide if I better should draw sister Kate…! In any case I have depicted Paula as she would have suffered a moderately severe injury (?) in the fight, so that a little bit to see from her underwear - this gave me the feeling of closeness to her. Maybe that’s just what I imagined.

In this volume it made a lot of fun due to Suzanne to draw another member of the knights of “Cain and his funny buddies” (or rather “ Cain and the other psychos”). I like conceited villain-characters like that who are appearing in Trinity Blood from time to time. Since there were hardly character-setting-informations to her figure I decided to depict her in the manga-version as a hologram in three dimensions who is facing Kate in the air combat. The white maiden and the red baroness…an opposition which make some hearts beat faster…

Thinking of the many fight scenes with women in volume 20 captured me so much that I totally forgot about the time… Well, I hope we will see each other next in volume 21 again. Ps: Sorry for the 1 year hiatus on the outro translation but the german publisher decided last year to skip vol. 20 and publish vol. 20-21 together 2019. Outro translation for the last volume will follow as soon as all the chapters are translated.
