They’re never going to teach you about heart break. You’re going to have to figure it out by yourself. Heartbreak is going to feel a lot like food poisoning when he leaves, even though you haven’t eaten in days. You don’t talk, you don’t open your mouth, you just lay on the bathroom floor so that every time you feel words coming up and pushing to spit out, you’ll be able to reach for the toilet to flush away the screams. Heartbreak will start to feel a lot like a disease when your mother demands why you’re shivering under four blankets and you’ll try to explain to her that you’re not cold on the outside, you’re cold like all the sunshine has left your bloodstream and veins. You’re cold like standing without an umbrella under the rain. Heartache will feel a lot like the cold that follows you around all winter. It’ll creep up on you like a fog in the spring, and you’ll never have a chance to see it coming. So when you wake up suddenly because he’s calling you at 3 am after 6 months, and you feel that chill in your bones and the pounding in your head and your teeth are chattering, don’t pick up. This is a sickness that you can prevent. Don’t pick up no matter how many times he calls, because even though you’ve pictured yourself rejecting his apology a million times, you know that if you hear his voice that you’ll break faster than you can take a breath. Scream into your pillow and block his number from your phone. You wanted him back once, but not anymore. It’s okay to push him out of your mind and it’s okay to cry about it, but please don’t let yourself fall victim to the sickness again. You’re stronger than that.

We’ve bought a new house. And our new next door neighbours (two delightful gentlemen) will not stop being nice. 

- bought us a seagull proof refuse bag (yes, they are actual things)

- loaned us garden tools when we didn’t have any

- invited us around for Friday night drinks so we could meet the other people on the lane

- one of them brought me a bunch of sweetpea flowers that he’d picked from his garden

- and tomorrow he’s coming to cut our hedge for us with his electric hedge trimmer thing idk, and all I have to do is hold the ladder.

Basically, I am UNSETTLED and am now having to enter into an arms race of niceness and I am already so behind oh god.

Long story short - I just baked a lemon drizzle cake, and it looks great but I can’t even eat it because MR AND MR NICE MUST RECEIVE AN OFFERING.

NEVER FORGET ALLISON AND LYDIA’S FRIENDSHIP

Ever since Allison died there hasn’t been that much Allydia posts or people talking about Lydia and Allisons Friendship . Although i love Sciles with all my heart, i think that Allison and Lydia is just my all time favorite friendship from any television show. and heres why. 

1. They never needed a man to come save them. And a boy never got between them. When was the last time we saw an amazing female relationship on television that wasn’t thwarted by a guy? 

2. They fucking defended and protected each other through everything. When Allison got Mama bear protective over Lydia it was my favorite. 

When Allison made it clear she would do anything to protect Lydia,

 or when she walked Lydia out of Peters like the two badasses they were. 

3. They always tried to help each other and support each other and they just genuinely believed in each other so much. They never gave up on each other. ever. 

4. Throughout everything with scott and her father, Lydia was the only one she could truly trust and ultimately her anchor throughout everything. When Deacon said they needed an anchor Lydia immediately stepped forward to Allison. They honestly cared about each other so fucking much it broke my heart. 

WHEN LYDIA TOLD ALLISON SHE LOVED HER. 

REMEMBER ALLISONS FACE WHEN LYDIA IS IN THE HOSPITAL CAUSE I DO!! 

5. They were side by side. Shoulder to Shoulder. Through everything. Allison literally dies for Lydia, saving her. Even at the beginning of their friendship they stood by each other. 

and when the first thing Allison asks is if Lydia is okay after she is STABBED WITH A NOGITSUNE SWORD. OR WHEN LYDIA FELT ALLISONS DEATH. 

6. And also despite everything they had been through, they were able to just be normal teenage girls together.

7. And Lydia probably misses her every day 

so yeah, i just don’t want people to forget about what i think is the best friendship ever shown on television. 

because i think what’s even more rare than romances or relationships is true amazing friendships. and this is at the top of the list.
