How in the world is he comfortable like this? He's not even taken off his armor, Serendipity notes. Nor has he put aside his weapons. The point of a dagger pokes into the bard's side -- not hard enough to draw blood, just an obvious reminder of its presence. This was going to be a long night, he notes miserably.

It's easier to leave that question unanswered. The actual reason -- there was a tale about something here that he couldn't fully remember -- probably wouldn't do much to soothe his companion's nerves. Another lesson, perhaps? Never leave without a specific idea of where he was going? Wouldn't hurt, in this case.
