As a random stranger who’s too nervous to dip my toe into this whole scene, let me just say that I enjoy your writing very much!

Hanging overhead on the ceiling's rail system, a violet eyed MORALITY CORE watches Lusamine's company rather intensely; it hums for a while before activating and speaking in a slow, methodical AI voice:

"What is the difference between good and bad people? What should be the repercussions for wronging someone else? How does one become a “good person”? Can people change? Are you a good person?"

Lusamine glances up as she listens to the chain of question, and waves her hand dismissively.

"That is the morality AI, it is programmed to ask strangers questions regarding their moral conscious from an unbiased point of view. It is being used to study certain behaviors-- hmh, but it does not usually activate so suddenly. It must find you interesting," she explained, reaching up and nudging it to continue moving along the rail system.

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ although engaged in polite introductory discussions with the Aether president, Archer did not stop observing and taking note of his surroundings at the same time - filing away relevant mental notes for later analysis while coming to 'in the moment, for the moment' conclusions. after the first few initial passes of metallic cores along the rail above them, Archer pays it less scrutiny than before— until both Lusamine and he, at the same time, pause their conversation when they're cut off by an artificial voice quizzing him of morality.

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ the questions weren't anything groundbreaking or new strains of thought, and it doesn't surprise him that an AI would be programmed to ask about these things … but the fact it seemingly chose to target him elicited no small amount of amused curiosity.

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ instead of answering, Rocket's second-in-command chuckles to himself, allowing Lusamine to explain without taking his eyes off the quizzical piece of tech until the blonde gently shooed it away.

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ❛❛ ㅤintriguing. I wonder what 'behaviors' those are. ㅤ❜❜

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ his first immediate thought at being found 'interesting' by the AI is "well, duh", but of course Archer doesn't say it aloud. still, it is a particularly effective stroking of his ego, given the Executive's fascination with and interest in this particular field. he held more affection and respect for technology than he did most humans. Archer levels his host with a knowing stare, accusatory but without the weight of hostility.

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ❛❛ ㅤit's a clever piece of bait. I imagine it saves you quite a bit of time in psychological profiling, when POIs volunteer such information so easily and willingly. ㅤ❜❜
