I am hunger striking

hi, I’m going to be joining my friends in a hunger strike to protest the injustice and oppression of the people in Gaza. it’s been almost 200 days of forced starvation.

this is a SAFE hunger strike, and if you plan on joining- consult @ibtisams post on hunger striking which has some safety information.

to sponsor my hunger strike, donate any amount of money to Anera, an organization currently providing aid. after donating, send me proof of donation through an ask or a dm (show the date but no other personal information is required)!

my hunger strike will start on the first of May, and i will add an extra day to my hunger strike for every collective $50 donated (you can donate anyyyyy amount). i will not hunger strike for more than 10 days for safety reasons, so i am aiming to have $500 donated to Anera.

I AM DOING A HUNGER STRIKE FOR GAZA

It has been almost 200 days of genocide in Gaza, and during this time Palestinians have been in the worst stage of starvation and famine. Children have begun dying from starvation and malnutrition, and more and more photos of Palestinian children are coming out where the child is nothing more than skin and bones.

Personally, I know I take the food I eat for granted every single day. I am no more deserving of a meal than the children of Gaza, so for that reason me and a few of my friends will be doing a minimum of FIVE day hunger strike in solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Palestine.

We will be starting on 1 May, as to hunger strike safely there is preparation needed. I making this post now in case anyone wants to join me and will want to prepare. I am not doing a dry hunger strike, I will be having fluids and I also don’t believe I will be able to hunger strike safely for more than 15 days for health reasons.

If you send me proof of a $50 USD donation to Anera (the equivalent of feeding 180 Palestinians), I will add ONE day to my hunger strike (a maximum of 15 days)

If you want to participate, please do your research and do it safely. I am doing this for the Gazan children who don’t have a choice right now, and I know in my heart I owe it to them. There is so much we consider a basic right and take for granted that people in Gaza don’t have access to. This hunger strike is solely in solidarity/raise money for Anera, there is no specific end result.

I am joining ibtisam on her hunger strike.

I will be following the same guideline as @ibtisams here, but since this is my first ever hunger strike, i am initially settling for a sponsored 10-day strike. I will continue with the remaining 5 days if I (1) face no health complications after 10 days and (2) am sponsored.

We will be starting on May 1st, and I will also not be doing a dry hunger strike, rather, having fluids.

This hunger strike is solely in solidarity and to raise money for Anera. While i consider food as a basic right and take it for granted, people in northern Gaza have been forced to survive on an average of 245 calories a day - less than a can of fava beans - since January. Such form of protest is quite similar to the plight of the people of Gaza, thank you to @ibtisams for coming up with this great idea.

Please spread this so more people can donate/participate in Ibtisam’s strike if they are able.

Please help me. i found out my brother (who lives in the same house has me) Has been accessing my private information, including my bank account and my google photos, which contain several compromising photos of me. He has also created a secret folder in my accoubt which Cannot be accessed through any devices owned by me. My Own Shit. And I have proof of him accessing, altering, deleting, and obfuscating information and data. The internet connection here is not reliable for me. I CANNOT LIVE HERE. I AM AFRAID. And i am keeping quiet in order to avoid a major blowout in this house but I have been on the brink of suicide and he is aware of the effects these actions have on me. I am desperate to get far, far, far away from here. I am so tired of feeling unsafe.
