After this super adorable photo of an owl hiding from rain took the internet by storm, we decided to reach out to the photographer Tanja Brandt to tell us more about it.

“Poldi, our little owl is 1,5 years old. I got him when he was five months old. He didn’t want to come out his egg and he was very small, the smallest. His six sisters were all hatched, and as he was the last to be born, days after the others, he was very small. I also have a Harris Hawk named Phönix, a Weissgesichtseule named Gandalf, and a snow owl named Uschi,” Tanja Brandt told Bored Panda.

“I think my animals like to be photographed. Why? Because I am always outside with my camera and with my animals. So we get to walk together, have fun, go on adventures, have little breaks… We take some pictures and after the animals can play again as we keep going. I know my animals very well and I can see their state of mind. If I go out with just one of my animals, the other get antsy and want to be with us. We have lot of fun together.”

“I’ve always loved animals, since I was a baby, unlike the rest of my family. When I was little, I found every sort of pet and then hid it for my parents. I love the beauty, power, loyalty, courage and friendship of animals. Many people could learn from them.”

Photographer Captures Hungry Dogs Hilarious Expressions When They Catch Treats

Christian Vieler from Waltrop, Germany takes hilarious photos of dogs trying to catch food. The photographer aims to capture the many faces of doggies depicting such emotions as excitement, sadness or confusion.

“Every shoot I am looking for that specific moment when the dog is looking as cute or funny as they can be,” said Vieler. “That cannot be seen without the power of freezing motion – dog’s faces with magnificent lineaments, telling us stories of panic, desire and joy.” He told Bored Panda that he is inspired by “every dog-personality and a good portion of humor.”

Vieler, 45, is a journalist and became interested in photography in 2012 with a purchase of a new camera. “My snapshots are not really a project, so you can say: everlasting and ongoing. I shoot a snapshot with every dog-guest in my studio. Some are pretty good, some not and a few are really gorgeous.”

His mom Cassie Borcherding of Missouri, who is also a professional photographer, shot the kitty, named Elsa, after her daughter begged her to do a newborn photo shoot. The result is paw-sitively adorable! ” It wasn’t easy at first, but once i got her wrapped she purred the entire time,” Borcherding told Bored Panda. Sadly, the pictures are now rather bittersweet for the family.

They welcomed Elsa right from the streets to their loving home, having made sure that she has no owner. Sadly, the kitten has recently disappeared.
