Got my target and another shiny starter from this file meet at 928 SRs. I named him after my original starter in my first SS. This makes 3 shiny starters in less than 2k SRs!

Used a caterpie chain to get this loaf really quickly

Shiny hunting in let’s go

Because no one has mentioned it yet.

A chain of 31 of ANY pokemon increases the shiny odds for every spawn pokemon.

Meaning you can chain 31 caterpie then fly to the power plant area and search for dratini. With a higher chance of a shiny.

The big difference being you don’t get the boosted spawns of the pokemon besides for example caterpie or guaranteed IVs but if you want a shiny that is hard to chain this is a big help.

Good luck on all your hunts!

Edit: I meant to add to prevent a broken chain from a pokemon from running just check the Pokedex. There are 2 animations a pokemon can do if you check moves. It will do the first one a lot while you are catching it and the second when it is about to run away. If it does this 2nd animation either catch it right then or run.
