This is probably ignorant to ask, but if writers have time to plays games and reblog, why don't they have time to you know - write?

Nonnie, I hate to say this. This isn't probably ignorant. It is ignorant. And I'm going to assume you aren't a writer because you wouldn't ask this if you were.

Your question. Why don't they write?

Time and energy. You need both to create. Some days, people don't have enough to devote to it. There are people behind the blogs that have families, jobs and other things to worry about.

Lack of engagement. Some writers are pulling back because they have worked their asses off to produce and get nothing to show for it, typically after so many have demanded more behind the anon button.

Similarities. Writers have tossed fics completely because they're too similar to what someone else has recently posted. That can drive creativity down. Especially if the original writer noted or told others what they planned to write.

And some days...people just don't want to write.

Playing games, reblogging and simply engaging with others is a nice break from the mold. Not sure how many times it needs to be said that blogs are not fic machines.

If this was directed specifically at me and you're only following me for my writing, I suggest following my sideblog instead. If this is a general ask for other writers, please be kind to them. You don't know what's going on in RL. If anything, be more supportive and celebrate when they DO post.

a/n: omg long a/n but first of all, this is waaaay overdue. i know i’ve already probably lost more than half of my readers but this is for the remaining few (and me) who would like to know how the story ends!! i’m going tbh, i procrastinated writing this for way too long (i’ve been enjoying my break too much), and the worst also happened, i was working on this but the whole thing got deleted so this is my second time writing the whole thing rip :[

anyway i decided this last minute but as it turns out, there will be a part 10, more like a second part to part 9 / epilogue, bc the rest was supposed to be included in here buuuut i’m going to be away for the rest of the week and won’t be able to continue writing the rest of the scenes so the only time to post is now, since i know ppl have been waiting too long for an update and i didn’t want to keep that any longer (i know id only be stressing over it the whole week if i did jsdkf). so this one and the next part are going to be super duper short but i promise to work on the last as soon as i get back ok!! it won’t take another month!!! lol.

writing fanfiction is just. i’m being so creative and original. i’m plagiarizing everyone by accident. i’m a genius. i’m cringe. i’m too angsty. i’m too cheesy. this is not in character. it doesn’t matter that it’s not in character because these are my characters now. i love my hobby. this is the worst possible use of my time. i’m seeking validation. i’m projecting my own personal problems onto this story and i’m barely hiding it. i know so many words and i’m using all of them wrong. im on tumblr posting about it instead of writing it.

Again, it's me. Chapter 9... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Yeah no, I probably would have gone crazy if whatever happened to seojun and our dear main character happened to me in real life. Feelings? Not good at it. And man, the way they talked about what happened without it being unhealthy? Yes, we love that. Also, Han Seojun I'm sorry for wishing you pain (but you deserved it though). I genuinely thought Suho would pop up out of nowhere though. I would've fought him if he did.

I’m sorry for the late late late reply, but yeah omg you’re not alone tbh! i’ve been in a situation w a lot of complicated feelings once and the way i handled it was nowhere near this, tmi 😭 … also thanks 🥺 it’s not without me trying my best, i know there’s been a lot of unhealthy-ish pining between them but i didn’t want it to make it like it was a reflection of a bad friendship or that their feelings leading up to those ~bad decisions~ were invalid, just that they’re two idiots who didn’t know how to act on their feelings 😂 also cmon it’s no fun without angst (and angst isn’t fun without a happy ending) so we kind of needed that, give seojun pain anon :p also there’s no way i would’ve made suho pop up again i’m pretty sure we’ve had enough of that !
