Not right away.

You just breathed. deep. slow.

Every inhale a reminder that you were becoming.

When you did wake,

Your body was bigger. Broader. Golden.

The sun loved you even more now, kissing every shimmering curve.

You flexed your claws.

Yawned wide, too many teeth.

And smiled.

No collar could hold you now.

Just the heat, the sun,

and the wild new rhythm of your dragon body.
