I'm yet to get to the point in the books where drizzt gets Andahar (because I'm struggling to get through the books honestly), but I know I'm either going to be disappointed or pleasently surprised. But I've already took the concept of drizzt having a honse and ran with it.
Because I can't help but make fantasy people suffer, drizzt has chronic pain now. Some point in the 1000 orc scenario his pain knocks him out in the woods. So mielikki sends a messenger with Andahar for him. Essentially Andahar is like a guide horse (?), basically: drizzt in pain, carry him home/to safety.
He's also the size of a shire horse, because draft unicorns are underrated. And it's funny because Drizzt is 5ft4, 59kg, and then theirs Mr 1100kg of horse who is on the taller, world record end for a shire
I have a 9 hour flight back home in a week so I'll probably draw them on the plane

Briza's gonna have a meltdown when I resurect her with all the Do'urdens and Zak's family, where she learns Zak's dad is 7ft4 and somehow has more muscle than Wulfgar (I have Briza as roughly 6ft2 so she's over a foot shorter and she simply can't process it)
#legend of drizzt#briza do'urden#zaknafein do'urden#zaks mom is 4ft11 by the way#his older brother is 7ft2 and wont let zak forget how he didnt inherit the height genes#their mother slowly started running out of ink

Rizzen and his freaky blood powers. You know you've lost the house war when suddenly your entire army has been impaled on spikes made of their own blood.

I think it's funny how by simply not vibing with Drizzt/Cattie I've managed to triple the available family of Drizzts children
Cannon (of what I am aware of)
Drizzt, Cattie, Breezy, Bruenor, Wulfgar, Regis, Zak, Jax, Arty
My fannon
Drizzt, Leo, Phinnann, Sarava (a product of a priestess stalking drizzt to rape him), Basalt & Slate (drizzt/phi), Robin (drizzt/Leo), Copper (Cattie is trans), Bruenor, Wulfgar, Regis, Jax, Arty, Zak, Rizzen, Briza, Vierna, Maya, Dinin, Nalfein, Dresmorlin (Zak's dad), Pellania (Zak's mom), Valaufein (Zak's brother), Z'resne (Zak's sister), Hatch (Jaxs child), Istorvin (hatches adoptive father) Faunalyn & Berg (hatches wife and husband), Esmae (the casual dragon everyone is friends with) (I ressurected the Do'urdens, that's why they're here)
That's not including the yet to be named of Dinins boyfriend, Viernas girlfriend, and hatches 2 kids
All of this because when I read the books drizzt and Coppers relationship came of as very sibling-esk and I think Drizzt would definitely have some trauma relating to trusting women even the slightest bit

Scrungled and well rested (mostly)

A tender moment between drizzt and one of the husbands I made for him.
I decided to save the process for this one.

I feel like drowish sounds very similar to elvish but with the same vibe of when you accidentally summon a demon by mispronouncing IKEA furniture and everything sounds like a threat. And instead of German rage it's drowish rage, with a hint to a strong dose of Australian.
And I like to think about this whenever their is a drow in a form of content I consume, whether it be making the Drizzts books highly comedic or my inability to make anything but a drow Tav in BG3.

It was physically impossible for me to not create Zaks commoner family. So here's Zak pre-trauma with his mum who is currently carrying nearly 50kg of child, bread flour and water.
yes she is a drow/tiefling (primarily drow). The blood line isn't pure

Been a tad bit obsessed with the do'urden dilfs so here's a Rizzen. Fun tid bit I based his blood lines off of human stripes and took some artistic liberties (i made him a blood sorcerer, malice is pissed his powers haven't passed on)

The sketch for my version of what goes down in the eertu fight in passage to dawn. Drizzt is not having a good time as his trend of causing severe physical trauma to his left shoulder continues.
Will I ever finish this piece? Even the gods can't predict me at this rate

No one can stop me from resurrecting all the Do'urdens for the drama, and I like to think Dinin is so lost he just follows his annoying little brother around (note he's not a drider) Ends up becoming a slightly deranged ranger duo. On their travels to more civilised areas Dinin especially likes to play something called "the bard game" which has two forms:
- Hiding in the corner of a tavern when a bard is telling a tale of the hall companions and seeing if they have their facts right
- Dragging Drizzt to the erotic fanfiction in the library and seeing if the books also meet the facts
The facts they generally look for: drizzt is gay and married to two men, Cattie is trans and goes by Copper and has been since (Passage to Dawn), Drizzt and Copper are not an item.
Drizzt absolutely hates it, Dinin loves it. And if anyone ever asks what they are doing with the library one Dinin says with a dead pan stare "we're seeing if the erotica is accurate". He normally gets hit with a book after and then Drizzt frantically explains.

As someone who used to do archery I know full well that Cattie has shoulders of steel. But I can also guarantee that her first or second longbow she starts with was way lower in poundage than taurmaril. It would have taken her months to mayby years to train to use that without injuring her shoulders.
The average draw weight of medieval long bows is between 80-110 pounds (modern times were looking at between 30-60 for comparison). Cattie likely started around the 22-25 bracket and worked her way up slowly to not destroy her shoulders. We can probably assume she was only in the 40-50 zone by streams of silver, there's at least a few months to years of hard training before she would be able to use taurmaril without injury (assuming it's in the upper 100-110 range). Bearing in mind she was what, just about 20 is streams of silver and likely only started at about 14-16.
In short: her shoulders are probably stronger than wulfgars (but only her shoulders)
