"Be practical as well as generous in your ideals"

The PromiseLand Purified Drinking Water refilling station is owned by Jeniza Galon's family. They started on September 28, 2017 because there is a high demand for water in their area and there aren't enough water refilling stations because of the elevated area, many people buy water in low land areas, which costs a lot from them. Although they have a salesman who is willing to give them water, it is very expensive, and the owner believes that if she builds the business, she must help the community while also profiting from it.
According to the owner, the challenges they face are how to gain customer trust and loyalty because the business they build is more focused on how sanitary the station is, but they do things that can gain customers, such as giving them a discount at the start of their business. They assure the customer that their services are of high quality, and they believe that this is one of the main benefits of their refilling station.
They catered delivery services and walk in to promote. When starting a business such as a refilling station, the owner advised us to "Learn to be patient at all times because you are trying to persuade customers to buy your product. Another thing to remember is to be resourceful and use your resources as much as possible to reduce expenses. Finally, be mindful of your decisions and learn to take risks because not all times will have a good sales".

Think different

Patsada Siomai Food Kiosk (previously "Tsada Siomai Food Kiosk") is a corporation owned by Florivic Tan, Benoni Wabe, Ara Leanne Aleonar, Ren Aleonar, Gerrymie Gaa, and Jude Gaa. The company has offices in Puerto-CDO, Corrales Avenue-CDO, and primarily in Corrales Ext.-CDO Misamis Oriental. Customers love the business because it serves delicious siomai with rice at a reasonable price. Their siomai comes in a variety of flavors, including Japanese, pork, chicken, and beef siomai.
Mr. Wabe intended to form alliances with his nieces Jude and Gerrymie Gaa. Jude worked as a production worker in a well-known siomai company, while Gerrymie worked in a Japanese restaurant in Davao. Mr. Wabe used the experiences of the two to launch a siomai food kiosk business and enlisted the help of other partners to make it a reality.
By the time Cagayan de Oro is under ECQ, the business were fraught with difficulties. At the time, product imports were halted, and they couldn't find ground meat for their siomai. Their production is unable to operate, and the stores were temporarily closed at the time. However, they deal with the challenge by being resourceful. They look for a local store where they can buy ground meat and, thankfully, they find some.
For those looking to start a business, particularly a food kiosk, the availability of ingredients is limited, which may have an impact on the productivity of your business. As a result, you must seek out another resource/option rather than relying solely on one. Being resourceful is a win-win situation when it comes to running a business.

You don't build a business, you build people, then people build the business.

Engr. Ilen Dolotina is the proprietor of Yasha Milktea, which is located in Carmen near Cagayan De Oro College. I was the shop's first employee in 2018, and I already have all of the shop's information in my memory. They began company in February 2018, and as employees, we are responsible for promoting our goods by providing discounts to our customers and ensuring their pleasure. We are concerned with how our customers feel and how well we serve them. According to the owner, Yasha is a transcription of Jesus of Nazareth's original Hebrew name, Yahshua, because she is a Born Again Christian who has given her heart and soul to Almighty God.
According to the owner, she began her firm with a capital of Php100,000, which she received from her resigned Engineer income, in order to focus on serving God. She was able to grow a business while keeping God as her constant guidance and being a good Christian follower. Yasha Milktea's monthly expenses for rent of the building where her business is located are Php10,000. I can say that this business is good and successful, but because of the pandemic, many students are staying at home, resulting in lower sales because 70% of our customers are students in Cagayan De Oro College. Yasha is still serving people by partnering with Food Panda, but it is not as profitable as it was last year, when we made Php5,000 per day.
According to the owner, business isn't only about how much money you earn; it's also about how happy you can make the people you serve. As a business owner, she advises that you should treat your employees as family because they are the only ones who can make your company succeed, and as the one body of Christ, we must serve others as family and treat them fairly.
As a company employee, I miss the days when I could make people happy and provide them with more than they expected. The owner and other employees, in particular, treat me as if I were their brother. I keep hoping that one day I will be able to watch how this company will expand in the future.

Business Opportunity comes in the right time.

Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming.” – Richard Branson.
Eldan J. Mabayo started his business last May 20th 2018. Business owner were a former OFW and was having a trouble getting back to work outside the country since we're in a pandemic, they then started this business to sustain a food on the table.
His company specializes in raw products such as meat and chicken, which they deliver to customers throughout the city. There are also many obstacles they face, such as the fact that ASF is one of the causes of rising meat prices, particularly pork meat, because the meat is not always the preferred option for everyone due to the pandemic, and they must save money in order to survive.
Business owners weren't able to anticipate that each time, the weight of the meat that they deliver would lower down and would result in to lower down of the price of the meat that would lead to not meeting the revenue that they have expected. Some of the customers also tend to pay late especially when they know them personally.
Young entrepreneurs need to know how to manage their money and should understand that it's not always a good day. Some days, we would be having troubles and the beginning of a business would be a lot of stress and it's not always automatic that it would prosper and be a success, it's a step by step process that we need to accept all the difficulties.

Noah Travilla, a pastor at the NHA Baptist Church in Kauswagan, CDO, also owns a sari-sari store. It was convenient for them because their store was right next to their church. In the year 2018, their first store opened its doors.
Being a servant of God does not guarantee that you will always be blessed in your endeavors in this life. Their company experienced ups and downs as well. On days when they don't have a choice, they spend the money they make from the store, as well as their business capital. As a result, their store must close. Despite the disadvantages, Mr. Noah believes that we must persevere. Those who want to start their own business must be patient and persistent.
Whatever difficulties you face, never give up until you've found a solution. He, like Mr. Noah, did not come to an abrupt halt. While their store is not currently a huge success, he believes that this is a process that anyone starting a business will have to go through.

It's all about taking risks

JxG Resellers Hub is a store where you can buy various gadgets and phone accessories. It is owned by Grace Saludares and her partner, Jefford Calvo, and is located in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
Ms. Grace Saludares was a high school student in 2015. She had issues in her life, including a lack of financial resources. She was having financial difficulties, and the support she received from her family was insufficient to cover her school fees; as a result, she decided to work. She had been assisting and collaborating with her sister, who had become her business management trainer and adviser. She was trained while assisting her sister in running her business. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to start her own business.
She eventually started her own business and became an online seller. Their business was thriving until they were able to open their first physical store in Villanueva. When asked about expanding her market to online stores such as Shopee and Lazada, she stated that it is not yet feasible for them because their income is not yet substantial. Other fees will be incurred if they engage in online commerce. Perhaps they will soon join if their supplies are ordered directly from the main "bodega" in Binondo, as the products are cheaper and they can earn more money.
When asked what difficulties they had in running their business, she replied, "managing money." Her and her partner's families both ask for financial assistance. Instead of saving their earnings from their businesses, they sometimes give it to their families. The most difficult challenge they faced was when they were scammed. Ms. Grace was scammed twice by the same person. However, in the latter case, they were scammed indirectly. They gave their money to someone, and that person was scammed by the other person, who had previously scammed Ms. Grace. This challenge shook them and their business. It was a substantial sum during the second time they were scammed. She was devastated and halted their operations.
They did not, however, give up. They arose once more. She stated that you will always return to do what you truly enjoy. So they applied for loans again to get their business back on track, and they were successful, and they were back. Ms. Grace and Mr. Jefford are role models for all small business owners. Persist in your pursuit and don't give up. You will soon achieve your goals.

Business is investment that is so risky.
| by Ken Andrea Banogon, Jason O. Herrera, Zyra Labial, Joshua Daniel Mabayo and Jessamae Joy Obsioma.
If you don't invest in risk management, it doesn't matter what business you're in, its a risky business.
- GARY COBE
Business involves risk although entrepreneurs focus more on benefits from business. Risk is integral and unavoidable part of business. All risks do not generate profit. But profit is the result of risk taking. If there is an opportunity with profit, then there is always element of risk. The success lies in one’s ability to see the profit in the risk. It is important to choose those opportunities where there is less Likelihood of adverse impact. Business is becoming more and more complex and hence there is compulsion to manage complex risks.

This is Queen Anne Lyle Tan's Facebook page, and she is the owner of Shop w/Lyle. They sell a variety of cosmetics, thrift clothing, and other items. Miss. Tan stated that they do not have a physical store because they only sell online due to pandemic restrictions. She began this month of October with the intention of purchasing cosmetics and other items in Taiwan, where her boyfriend's mother works. According to her, she can now give some money to her parents and buy clothes and other items for herself. The only issues she has are during the day, when some cargo workers become ill with covid and parcels are delivered late and resulting to order's cancellation.

As shown in the image, this is an example of a Miss. Tan parcel for a customer; it contains cosmetics and clothing. According to her, it sold out in just one day and she had to place another order. As a result, this business is suitable for those who are new to business and want to earn money online.

This image also depicts the cosmetic product she sells online. She stated that if you start a business online, you must be wary of people who buy your product but then cancel it due to that his/her order from the supplier cannot be cancelled because it has already been shipped and result of loss profit.

CONTROL EVERYTHING IS UNDER

"A successful business requires one simple thing: PASSION"
-Teresa Collins
Basically an entrepreneur can be regarded as a person who has the initiative, skill and motivation to set up a business or an enterprise of his own and who always looks for high achievement.
R.E.C Clothing

Rachelle Pin Napinas is one of the owners of their Thrift store, which is located at Iponan, Cagayan De Oro City and sells their clothing online rather than in person. They sell a variety of products such as dresses, tops, slacks, and necklaces online rather than in their physical store. Because so many people have access to the internet, it has a significant impact. Because of the ease with which each individual can be connected, using the Social Media Platform benefits the business.
They started a business during the pandemic because, due to a lack of job opportunities, they decided to take a risk in order to make money despite the pandemic restrictions.

People are willing to buy their product because of the high demand. They not only have problems in the pros, but they also have problems delivering things due to a lack of transportation, which is difficult for them, and sometimes when they try to deliver the product, the customer refuses. The only way to avoid cancellation in this situation is for the customer to send money via Gcash or another online payment method.
