I personally think the funniest part of The Terror is when the two most obviously queer characters have a brief disagreement over whether the captain is bisexual or just an alcoholic.

The Hex taking pictures of the Drifter but they ALWAYS look like analog horror photos of Bigfoot photos and there's zero in between.

None of them have an actual picture of Drifter.

The civvies ask what the blurry photos are and they just say "Oh yeah! That's our weird void cryptic that lives in the wall of an abandoned clothes store."

And they're completely serious.

I like to think Arthur "canonically has bad stance" Nightingale asks to spar with Drifter and genuinely nearly dies.

Drifter fought for CENTURIES. Trial and Error with crazy ass Dax who only wanted their head on a pike and THEN trained with TESHIN. Who, is implied and hinted, to have trained them with everything he knows.

Not only that, but I was playing Duviri again for some farming and had to fight the Mounted Dax, but it reminded me that not only are they well versed with weapons, their physical strength is CRAZY. Not only in Duviri, they've shown similar feats in the origin system and even in 1999.

Anyways, all this to say the hex make bets against Arthur every single time just because they want to see him get flung over Drifter's shoulder at the speed of sound.

I like to also think Velimir offers to "teach" them hand-to-hand and immediately regrets it when Drifter starts swinging like they're aiming to rip his head off.

People talk about Elsa's "Let it Go" moment having killed the men of the Terror and the Erebus, but it goes farther than that. That same historically cold winter of 1846/1847 also caused so much snow that it led to an infamous American tragedy, as I learned when I read the nonfiction work The Indifferent Stars Above.

If Elsa killed the Terror and Erebus men, then she also doomed the Donner Party.
