Both of them are designed by humans to solve problems using computing power. In TP, we provide the system with a set of instructions and the input to get the desired output, commonly called a rule-based approach.

Types of Machine Learning

So, the algorithm used by the school automatically puts all four assignments under one cluster - denoting a very high likelihood of plagiarism.
