Okay genuine question. I get everyone hates when people write out accent differences. But in context of Jamie's accent. Is it okay to continue to write things that are actually words instead of proper grammar? Like how he uses "were" a lot instead of "was" or "arse" instead of "ass".

I really don’t get why people like to act like Rebecca is younger than she is. Pregnancy plots, lots of fanfics where she’s deaged, drawings where she looks more youthful than she is…she’s about Hannah’s age. Let her be 50. She doesn’t need to be younger, in art or writing, to be valued

Reading ted lasso fanfiction is sometimes unbearable because of how they write out accents

Actually I think that transphobic fics should be called out, even if the writer is trans themselves. It's not any excuse that their kink is trans men being weak/inferior. If that is how you see yourself, as a trans man, I want to tell you that you are worthy of respect, you are strong, you do not deserve to be degraded, you are not inferior for being trans, and you are loved.

**I fully recognize the irony of saying this on anon, but I think you guys should consider turning off anon. Maybe that'll cut down on the amount of takes that are just mean, spiteful, trolling, and/or just straight-up targeted hate for specific small groups of fans or individuals

If that's something folks would genuinely be interested in, we could consider it. Personally I like the freedom for silly takes that anonymity allows but it has obviously led to some issues in the past.

Sam and Rebecca were doomed, but they were very cute together. I wanted to see more of their secret relationship.

I wish they hadn't dressed Keeley like a toddler with a fancy dress box for most of series 3. Before that she had her own distinct style, she was feminine and cute but still stylish, but then it went too far and they dressed her like a child. I know people like to say she was defining herself by being comfortable in her style, but she was already comfortable with her style before that. Shes cool and cute and quirky and stylish, why dress her like shes an infant

The season 4 is going to be a huge flop. Everyone is excited for it which is great, but its going to air to huge fanfair, be nothing like the show they liked because everyone is different, and its going to flake out and its going to kill the remaining dregs of the fandom

Its hard being a Ted/Trent shipper who doesn't want to read them in a d/s relationship because that seems to be the go to style for ships now, even if it doesn't actually fit the characters. Nothing about the way they behave as characters or with each other gives even the vaguest hint that they would have a relationship like that, and the odd fic I could understand, but its almost every fic? Not every relationship has to be d/s, it doesn't always match. Roy/ Jamie? Yeah sure that works for those two because of their personalities and their relationship, but reading Ted/Trent fics half the time sucks because its like who are these people, did we watch the same show?

there isnt a "wrong" way to hc a character as trans and sometimes trans people write how they feel/what they want/what kinks they have/etc

people saying that tedbecca is subverting tropes or is revolutionary because “two middle aged people finding love tougher!” like have you never seen television before. I can list so many shows where middle aged people find love

I know that it’s a joke, but the amount of times I’ve seen people be like “Jason jumped through all those hoops to hire Hannah just to NOT kiss her?” or “Jason just wanted to kiss Hannah that’s why he hired her” or any variations of the whole ‘Jason hiring hannah out of the desire to kiss her’ joke….like it just feels skeevy and gross, and pretty creepy. Like they’re coworkers.

Listen. I like tedtrent, but let's be realistic here. It won't become canon, especially with how they've drilled in that Ted is heterosexual. Fanon is great, but canon isn't happening.

I don’t understand people’s need to make Trent biracial. (Unless like James has talked about being anything but white, he’s just one of those vaguely tan white guys that may look something else see any number of Italian or Greek guys)

I am actually concerned that even if we get more Tef Lasso the show, they'll never address Jamie's canonically sexual assault in any significant way. If Phil isn't coming back they'll just leave that plot line go.
