The weird thing about college is that you pay so much money to do so much work to get approval from your professors (grades) to get approval from the college (degree) to get approval from a potential workplace.

Ebola Travel Bans? Uh, no.

We should not ban flights because of Ebola. Why? Because it’s senseless, and would not help the problem.

We can’t ban flights to/from Ebola-affected countries because that would be thinking short-term and selfishly. This is a problem that you fix at the source, not something you wait out and hide from by imposing travel bans. America has the resources to help mitigate the spread of this virus and it should be our duty to do so in order to help our fellow man against this threat.

Putting up travel bans would be like if there was a fire at your house and the fire department said “We need to protect ourselves first, and the fire will burn itself out anyways so good luck bro.”

Then what happens? Not only your house burns down, but probably the one next to yours, and the one next to that and so on and so forth until possibly the entire city is burning up around the fire department until it too eventually catches fire.
