His name is Kayode and he became a demon after his older brother (Rengoku if you couldn’t tell), died. It was part of a deal with Akaza that Kayode became a demon, Akaza could no longer harm any members of his family

As a demon, hes lower rank 1 and later upper moon 6 and has no memory of his family from before he became a demon, training under Akaza, who had, out of respect for Rengoku, given Kayode part of his cape after his death.
