Honestly I need to write Mystery being nicer to Baby. I like to think there's something about him that reminds Mystery of his own sibling, though he doesn't realize that's why he wants to be nice to him.

The demon didn't say anything else, except for a small trembling sigh. His whole body relaxes into the mattress like that was where he'd wanted to be all day. "I'd like that a lot." He then spoke quietly as he gave Romances hand another squeeze.

It was odd that he'd become so clingy. Or maybe it wasn't given the fact he'd almost died. In fact... he'd literally been on death's doorstep when Ro found him at the penthouse. And he'd been hesitant to leave his side ever since. "I can move again if you rather have more room to yourself."

"i'm not trying to dissuade you," he assures easily, further relaxing the closer mystery snuggles. romance likes having him close, and he shifts to ensure there's plenty of room for mystery to get comfortable before curling back up with him. he's still careful, knowing the other isn't as steady as he was when they first came topside, but every bit of extra touch is a breath easier to take.

he tips his head downward to press a kiss to the other's hair, eyes closing again. now he didn't want to sleep because he wants to enjoy mystery being so close, at least for a little while, which is preferable to being unable to sleep. "you know i always love having you in reach."
