She almost doesn't find it.

The entrance is buried beneath centuries of frost, half-swallowed by glacier and rot. Her shadows find it first, slithering through the cracks in the stone, whimpering like wounded hounds. It's the first sign that what she is looking to find is ancient. The coffin within is etched in runes older than her mother's reign.

Her gloved hand hovers above until she's startled by his voice. Her shadows quickly recoiling back into her. His voice isn't loud, but it sounds worn. Fractured by a sleep that was never meant to end. She doesn't answer immediately, mesmerized by the way the frost clings to his eyelashes.

She'd felt his hum, that's why she came. A string of sleepless nights had led her here. Varvara circles the tomb with slow steps. ❛ You're not supposed to be awake, ❜ she murmurs at last. ❛ —This is Niflheim. The realm of the dead. The forgotten. ❜

the silence has been broken, and that is wrong. it has always been dark and silent and still, and it will always be so. but there it is again; a voice, or perhaps something like one. insistent, drawing him toward it. for the first time in a thousand years, his fingers twitch against cold stone. his head shifts, and his eyes open.

he remembers blood and the clash of sword against shield. he remembers soaring sorrow, black despair, and then --

andreas stares at the high ceiling above. symbols are etched into its surface, symbols that he recognizes as demonic, originating from the golow empire, but he doesn't know what they mean.

he turns his head. meets dark eyes. the jailer?

Her voice was sweet, as it usually was, but the edge was unmistakable. The assistant froze mid-step, clutching her clipboard to her chest like a lifeline. There were too many eyes. Too much light. Too much everything. She needed space.

Bunny adjusted the ridiculous veil on her face, eyes still pulsing faintly from her last televised “rescue.” The PR team wanted tears this time. She gave it to them. She was good at doing what she was supposed to.

She slipped off the set platform, her heels clacking away. Bunny was often the picture of control. Velvet Nocturne was meant to be soft and poised at all times, but she was currently moments away from cracking.

A flick of her wrist and the lights above flickered once. A warning to the assistant trailing behind her.

She was supposed to be filming another interview in five but she didn’t care anymore as she made a beeline for her private room.

I’ve been thinking about bunny’s sister and brothers

Zephyr Rose - The Golden Brother, biological older brother. The original favorite. Bunny simultaneously idolizes him and resents him

Briar - Adopted sister. Bunny tried to protect her from Darcy in the early days but eventually pulls away out of fear. Briar never forgave her. They have a complicated dynamic.

Kren - known as the Spider Priest. Loyal to Darcy. He was adopted as a child by Darcy centuries ago. Creepy. Prophetic. He calls Bunny “Sister.”

hi everyone! my wisdom teeth may be gone but my energy is finally restored, we went to the tokyo night festival. 10/10 experience, delicious food & amazing vendors. my honey spoiled the HECK out of of me i'm such a happy gal !!!
