western kentucky tornado relief

hi, it would mean a lot to me if yall shared this post. last night (12/10/21) a historically massive and destructive tornado tore through four different states. the hardest hit area was western kentucky. mayfield, a town about 20 minutes from my home town, was completely leveled. a candle factory there collapsed with 110 people inside, only 40 have been rescued and the last live recovery was from 4 am this morning. the death toll in kentucky is expected to be at least 100 people.

There was not a single page in interview with the vampire that wasn't tortured, grief stricken, and just wholly being unable to cope with loss etc etc, it goes on and on, almost feeling like torpor, the melancholy in it was violent and extremely painful.. knowing full well that Interview was about Anne grieving her child.. like how the hell do you move on from that. It's like.. there were other authors who had similar feelings w Anne Rice abt fanfiction , (one of those authors being Robin Hobb), I think Anne Rice was unhinged partly from her grief , but it's also one of those.. generational divides where she just didn't understand modern fandom. That one meme abt Anne Rice being unable to take criticism was her response literally right after she lost her husband.. and it's like. Man. She put Stan Rice's poetry in every chapter of Queen of the Damned. Lestat is inspired from Stan Rice. And to lose him the same way she lost her daughter, I'm just. Yeah. OK.

like she isn't perfect, she's done weird and problematic things but the things ppl rag on and on abt her were her actions in moments of intense vulnerability.. not to be emotional.

Hey so listen. I’ve only played Witcher 3 and watched the Witcher show, I know the canon is that Geralt just keeps getting brown horses and calling them all Roach BUT

it would be REALLY, REALLY FUNNY….if Roach has been the same horse for like…..fifty years…..and Geralt doesn’t notice his horse is magic, because how long do horses live? 100? This is Fine. Horses, he’s found, are surprisingly sturdy. One time a catastrophic storm sank Geralt’s ship and drowned literally everyone on board but Roach was found chilling on shore, a-okay.
