Speechless. She was a true friend to me beyond measure. We had just talked this weekend. We always talked. We have each other a space to be humans not rappers. She was also like a big homie. She knew a lot about the pit falls of the industry. Coached me away from certain bad habits. We clashed at first and then we became each other’s therapist. Even if we stayed out of touch for too long we’d get back right where we left off. She was supposed to come to St.Louis and work with us. We talked about that this weekend and when it would happen. I know for a fact she intended on living. Because we talked about LIFE so damn much. I’d never publish the text messages but this was a very good friend of mine. Through a lot of radical changes in her life she was ultra real. She was still doing shows worldwide making money. Blessed to have met on the rode with Run the Jewels. Whenever we got on the phone — we’d rap for about an hour. We made music together. We even had arguments sometimes. I could go on and on but I thought this was hoax. She had all types of life left in her. You got me through hard some times. Just being a real friend and giving me game about how to maneuver as an unpredictable person who made also music. Our friendship made since because we both were miss understood sometimes. They don’t know how spiritual you were. You influenced me to take my spiritual walk more serious. I can’t even explain it to y’all. She was such a distinctive personality. I will miss you Lola. You were a real light in my life. You’ll remain that for me from the other side. “Palestine”— for six months I was asking myself what do I actually name this song. I think I recorded the original version of this track at @Harvard. Either that or I pulled up on @shabazzmor at this grunge punk rock spot he was temporarily working out of back in Boston. I went on tour with @techimmortal @poisonpenbk and @chinoxl prior to the pandemic. Independent MUSIC MAKING ICONNNNS. My boy @mordecai_lyon thugged it out with me on all the dates. I was blessed to stay in touch with @chinoxl over the pandemic. So we cut a record. And that bad boy is hard as hell. It’s sounds exactly like what @chinoxl and Tef Poe are supposed to sound like together. Next week it’s on all the streamers. We used to hike this mountain on the daily. Blessed to say I lived in a Mountain in Vermont for damn near six months when I got back from the desserts of Africa. By winter we had to fight to get to the top of this thing. Everyday is was like a direct challenge to your body even walking up this thing.
