Happy new year!

I know its very much late cause am thinking what to do, and pretty much not a lot to show you...

But below are pretty much whats been going on throughout the year until before the year ended, if you care enough to know XD

I know its been quiet here, but im still here meowing. Last year is pretty much not as productive, even then theres some, it lacks motivation and its just forced just to give that minimum to stay relevant, and the more I force it the more drained I am.

Other than that, before I announce my break, I let go of using PC for a while because my brother wants to use it at the other city, means ive been off my computer for a while now. So while I am away from PC, ive been distracting myself with other stuff, like Pokemon, cause I have not completed any of that game. I also bought blank notebooks to sketch more whenever I felt like it, will show you soon whenever, but right now not as much..

And last thing, I borrowed VR headset from friend, so ive been around VRChat as well, and I say, I am always nervous going to public places, but gladly met some people to be friends as well, also got to be somewhat comfortable socializing. ( If you wanna add me on VRC, its "krisbrine", we could hang around or chat anytime :) )

Anyways, thank you for being patient with me and I still appreciate some still reaching out to me though have not done much for you all :(

Hello.. been a while, no?

I've been radio silence for a while in Tumblr, though im still active and lurking around..

Apologies, but seems like I am taking a break without letting you all know. I dont know why, I dont know when I'll be back.

I am fine and all, I am just trying to sort out the life I am currently in and hope it gets better.

I am trying my best to get an artwork to finish.. slowly.. specially to those who supported my journey for my bakery to make them artwork, even if I didn't promise..

You can still chat me around wherever you have access to me or anything and I'll respond as soon as possible, but I cant guarantee keeping a long conversation.

Bread & Cake diary

The First Judgement

Today, we had a self-assessment, means no guidance and we have to do it all ourselves with no hint and tips, and so we did our best.

At first, we were given the ingredient and thEY GAVE US MARGARINE AGAIN. I know the instructor must be right that there wont be problem, but thats not the case since a lot if group is having a problem because of the ingredient, but I dont want to deal with it again, so our group decided to buy actual butter in our own expense.

And I was right!

After using the butter as ingredient our frosting looks a lot more like... frosting, no issue whatsoever, though I wanna know for someone who knows baking if I am actually right to use butter instead of margarine for this. But ye, all in all were not having anymore problem, though our design is kinda.. bit messy? or lacks presentation, eitherway, we succeed, we passed and enjoyed this moment.

For now, we will have rest days until were being called for final assessment... The Final Judgement...

Bread Cake Diary

Uh... So this is the day where I have been stressing out, cause were haning hard time to make the frosting right of the cake cause apparently they gave us wrong ingredient of using margarine instead pf butter, making the frosting more melted and wont stay on the cake itself. and even after that we somehow messed the frosting so bad it looked ugly XD

Well, despite that, I learned what caused the frosting to look a lot melted. Next post will be self-assesment day!

Bread Cake diary

A new week and also the last week.. honestly I dont think the days were fast, feels slow a bit. Today, we got Chiffon cake for preparation of cake making in the following day, then after that were gonna have self-assessment day, means no guide so were on our own. Not like its much of an issue since most of it are easy to follow.

Kinda messy at tops, but I like the result, especially on rolls :)

Bread Chip Cookie Diary

Today is quite easy, same as yesterday's cookie, chocolate chip cookie. I say it is really easy to do and I wanted to make this at home! Some of the chips on the cookie sank to the bottom before it was being baked, so we made on a separate pan that had to put the chips manually on top so the result was there.

Also, I had to make the bigger one from the extras, and it do really big ahaha

next week, we gon start bakin cAKES

Uhhh.. that day seems kind of odd when we make this stuff.. Anyway today we have butter cookies. I am not sure what else to say aside from the instructor giving us "freedom of shapes" so my group just randomly do their own shape, also we dont have the shaper thing and have to go whatever and this happened.. XD

The taste is fine, probably not my preferred type of cookie, heres my shape I made in a separate pan

I still think its hard to shape this dough XD

Bread Tart Diary (4)

Anyway, we had a day off from that last post because it was raining hard, but we still catch on with new stuffs, this time we got Egg Tart! Embarrassingly we had a restart of our dough because I put too much water in it, but good thing theyre cool with the mistake I did, but in the end it turns out better :)

Bread Pie Diary (3)

Today is Pie day! The pie for today is called Buko Pie, or Coconut Pie. Quite the struggle making this tbh because of flattening process to make it work and often times breaking off, in the end it went pretty alright, the instructor told us its cooked, but the dough on the bottom is still somewhat undercooked.

I am somewhat believing that its the problem with our oven that cant control the heat really well or the thermometer is kind of not working properly, because were baking them way too quickly than the instructed time (Ours baked for 35 mins, while the instruction says 45 min-1 hr)

Bread diary (2)

It the new week, means more training days ahead! Right now were still baking Soft Roll, but they let us do anything to give it a little extra.

I present to ye, Soft roll with butter cream on top and some cheese, supposed to call it "Ensaymada" but the bread is different. Though to be honest, we kind of overbaked it a bit so its a bit brown-ish... but hEY! Practice makes perfect, and were still satisfied regardless! <3

We finally started the Bread and Pastry Production training, we started off with simple Soft roll.

at the moment, were only allowed to bake anything were taught. I aim to learn to bake sour dough bread or Baguette, kind of ambitious for first time baker XD

After 2 months long of waiting, were finally about to start the bakery training session 2 days from now TwT

actually took a day rest cause im tired as hecc from the trip on the way home (yes, im not used to land trip, but im fine with sea and air travel)

now back to regular stuff, shall we? (also some good news soon, but I gotta verify it..)
