Dear Diary,

There is a hole inside all of us. One that can't be filled with material things or artificial experiences, no matter how much most of us try to do exactly that. And it makes me have the suspicion that maybe, in an almost twisted way, our purpose in life is to constantly seek a temporary relief of feeling this hole, but never truly succeeding. It makes us look for something we cannot name or picture. And looking for something we don't know anything about gives us a purpose in life, as well as making us be open to every and all possibilities. So we might never find it. But we might accidentally discover pieces of it. And maybe, just maybe, the first piece is our self.
