ITV seems to be a closed chapter for me; the rapidly progressing degeneration of that genre is just notttttt inspiring any confidence (or interest.) The wholeass industry needs a major major shakeup. Same with Bollywood, nothing's really pulling me anymore. Laapataa Ladies (which I still haven't watched yet) is LITERALLY THE ONLY MOVIE calling my name in all of the 2024 releases. Junaid seems like a promising nepo kid; the Cavill vibes are definitely there. Let's hope that he picks good scripts and doesn't fall down the usual wormhole.

The Acolyte: I literally know/care nothing about the Star Wars universe, but Manny Jacinto. Enough said. I need to rewatch coz god his character has me going awooooooooga like a fuckin' cartoon wolf. I am obsessed.

Meet You at the Blossom: A chinese BL which is fulllllllllllly delivering on the toxic romance from the Tellywood of yore

This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans: A thai BL that is again, giving v Tellywood romcom vibes (Gul Khan types), with not one, BUT TWO WHOLE ENEMIES TO LOVERS couples. Noice.

Love Sea: Ridiculously high heat/good chemistry; one half of couple is the greenest fuckin flag in the history of human existence.

My Love Mix Up (Thailand): My cutest lil kuchupuchu babies. I wanna put them in my pocket and squishhhhhhhh them allllll like a goddamn stress ball. Wholesome wholesome lil show that makes me feel warm and sunshiney inside.

4 Minutes: No real idea what's really going on here with the time skips and background crimes and shit, plus this show feels like an anxiety attack in audiovisual form, BUT I'm here for Bible Wichapas giving me morally-grey himbo with hilarious (to me) gay panic.

TT, what do you do when you are faced with the worst time of your life so far...your parents are sick n you are seeing all your friends making a HUGE mistake n you KNOW it will destroy EVERYTHING including your own family soon..but they are blind to see any logic or reason, and you can not do anything else except seeing the carnage all around...what do you do TT?

Oh boy, tough one friend. Very very tough. I think in times like these, all you can do is prioritize and focus on ONE big thing (like perhaps your parents' health) and ensuring that you don't burnout from the caretaking. Your friends are (I'm assuming) adults, and beyond warning them to the best of your capacity, there's nothing else you can do. They are free to make their choices, wrong as they may be, and they will have to face the consequences.

Focus on yourself and getting yourself through the situation. As horrible as it is, I assure you, this too shall pass. All such circumstances do.

Lol, jokes apart, I think rewatching after the whole show is over is kinda neat, coz you know at what point you're kinda gonna stop. You KNOW when this whole thing goes to shit, and thus have that closure ki ok, this is where the show ends for me. And that's quite therapeutic, rather than the latka ke rakhna daily on-air viewing does to us. But that phase of delulu-ness is also fun in its own way, lol. ME TOO! I sat and binged like 200 episodes of Iqbal Khan's first show Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai (real ones Know!!!!!!!!) on Youtube a few weeks back, and my god it was a wilddddddddd ride. The whiplash!!!!!!! Mais was like "aise hi nahi tha poori country Ekta ki hatheli mein" and my god, nothing but FACTS. That woman put us through hell and back with EVERY show of hers (I remember Maithili and Adi from KGGK as another one that I was so invested in and then got my heart broken on) and we still went back!!!!!!!!! THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! Post 2018 - 19, I don't think there's been a single show that's got us wildin like those shows did.

But if OMRU went abroad in Ishqbaaz, why did they never come meet their children? Were they ever shown remotely contacting them? And also, why did they leave their old grandmothers and an orphaned shivay's son alone and go away?

They're said to have gone abroad, I believe. And Shivaay was killed off by Sahil (of all ppl) and I think Anika also dies on the same day in an accident, trying to get to him or something like that.

Lmao, quit around Ep 4, when it became clear that the bromance wasn't gonna develop the way I wanted. Upar se that FL is soooooo thakeli and annoyingly acted. I wouldn't recommend. Go rewatch one of your other fav shows of your man and save your time and energy.

Is it implied that the Svetlana we see from the beginning in IB is the one with mask (or surgery?!) Not getting my head around this one. Thanks.

Lmao, we neverrrrr really figured it out. I don't think at any point it's really given an exact time/year as to when the real!Svetlana was replaced by mask!Svetlana. I thiiiiiiiink it's when she's fairly younger though, and before she came into Tej's life as his secretary/mistress. So I've always assumed that yeah, we've been seeing mask!Svetlana all along. But lol whoooooo really knows. All of this shit is bonkers and makes absolutely no logical sense, just like how she and Sumo were retrofitted to be Kapoor sisters.

marry my husband just ended, and after seeing the last episode (and the entire show, really), I feel this needs to be said: hero/heroine ke role mein to har aida-gaida actor excel kar leta hai, lekin jo actors villain ke role main excel karte woh hi most of the time excellent actors kehla sakte hain.

Exactly!!! I always find that the villains steal the show in the shows I enjoy the most, coz 1. It's always a more complex performance to play unhinged and unconcerned with commonly established morality, and 2. they seem to have so much more fun!!!!!

Hiiii!! I'm a new follower(mainly coz tv serials are kind of a guilty pleasure for me and I'm sooo thankful that hotstar has a profile feature).

So, I'd started watching ishqbaaz many years back but i stopped for some reason and now I'm finding out that there's a redux thing and also another thing where ShivIka's son has his own thing? So like i just wanted to know, would you recommend watching redux? I rly don't wanna watch the son's love story, but I'm hearing that Rikara has another level of wholesomeness in redux.

Hi hiiii,

So, the redux is an alternate universe in which all our regular characters are there, with some changed circumstances. That starts at Season 13 Ep 96 (acc to the Hotstar labelling system.) It goes on with Shivika/Rikara/Ruvya till S13 E225, after which the show takes a leap (yes, within the AU redux whatever thingy itself) and moves on to the story of Shivika's son. Basically, I stopped watching the show somewhere around S13 E 213, but the show went steeply downhill from the point Zain Imam enters the show as Shivaay's friend, so yeah.... Make of that what you will.
