It was a close one but seems like we're doing sub-pages; since keep in mind the closed poll went entirely to the subpages! Proof I'm not lying:

Just fixing the info had an early lead so I spent the prior 24 hours attempting to implement collapsible elements into the current infobox since some heroes have too many sponsors, and many visitors probably aren't looking for that info and just wanna get to the bio shit. I did get that part working but it doesn't look consistent. I will be returning to this eventually since it's a net benefit (Kotetsu, your relations section is hideous, I am sorry) if I can get it working. New T&B Wiki addition plan: Sponsor Page

After a smaller vote on the topic, I am now doing a more public voting before I go ahead and implement it.

Currently: The sponsor sections of the infobox are somewhat inconsistent and don't properly map out when they had each sponsor, which may cause confusion if you need to reference it for a fic and want to stick to season-accurate sponsors. Now, I can very well go around and update that, but I also have another idea that ties into some future-proofing I did regarding a template I made: A sub-page listing out each sponsor a hero has.

The Sponsor Sub Page will be akin to the gallery sub-pages each hero has, and can be accessed easily through searching for it, or at the top of the page using the "Character Page Navigator" template. The plan of these pages is to list each sponsor via heading or sub-heading, go over where it is located on their suit, and what the sponsor even is, briefly, and also provide a link to an official site or wikipedia page(if they have one).

If you have a third idea, feel free to suggest it.

Regardless of who wins, I will be compiling a page of all sponsors to briefly list off what each one is, as they are important to the show's identity. Really, this poll is moreso on if I split the sponsors up into multiple pages or not XD.

Day 10 - Share a headcanon you have!

About the Sengoku family! (This is canon to me until we get an official backstory lol)

Subaru always gave me the 'single mom' vibes. His parents were high school sweethearts and had Subaru when they were young. When Subaru was a child his father abandoned them so his mother raised him alone. He didn't have siblings so his mom is practically the only family he has. They have a very close relationship.

His mother worked long shifts, so she taught him how to feed himself, and Subaru discovered he was talented in the kitchen! He enjoys cooking for others, so once he learns Thomas loves lasagna, he makes sure to make it for him at least once a week.

Due to unforseen circumstances, I'll be having a lot more time to work on HeroTV Database (The Tiger & Bunny Wiki) more intensely soon. With that comes some upgrades, new content and streamlining. One thing to streamline: How should we adjust dates to keep it all consistent across all pages?

The latter two mean writing it out like "February 12th, 2012" and "20th (of) March, 2014" respectively.

This will affect primarily any dates in infoboxes and tables, which is mostly restricted to character birthdays and media release dates.

My two cents is I feel like in-universe, Thomas and Subaru *are entirely intended* to end up being "replacements" for Tiger & Barnaby. Jungle as a company is a little intense and possibly even shady, as they only just jumped into the "Sponsoring Heroes" game. Having to start WITH the buddy system, they go in knowing what already works - Wild Tiger & Barnaby Brooks Jr. Just make their own versions of them, that should be enough to bring home big profits, right? So just get a guy that doesn't listen to anything other than himself and rushes right in, and also get the voice of reason with a mysterious(tragic) past that is more heavily marketed towards young women to swoon over.

The fact that them as a Buddy Duo feels incredibly awkward to begin with is intentional, since Jungle's intent with them is to be as marketable as Tiger & Barnaby. Hell, they even get shoved into the FireSky event because they won't turn down any publicity where they can get it, strings pulled and all.

Jungle has no idea why Tiger & Barnaby work and how they're so beloved by the people of sternbild (and each other). They just see the two as marketable characters and try to use the visible ingredients in hopes it concocts the same success the Apollon Duo have. Contrasting colours? Ok, black and white suits. One is goofy and the other is more suave and cool? Got that down. And then one needs to be the type to rush in, the other then of course needs to save their ass in a pinch. Yep, that's all that we need to do, right? So why the hell aren't we rolling in merch sales cash 2 weeks into the season?? And also why do they hate each other?

Honestly, tiger & bunny is one of the few shows that has ever introduced a second main cast where I've liked said new main cast. I think it's because, unlike a lot of other shows that try to keep things fresh by introducing new characters, TB doesn't sacrifice the old characters or the general vibe of the show to accommodate new ones.

The season 1 heroes are still very much actively in the main cast, and Kotetsu and Barnaby are still very much the main characters, but it still manages to make room for plot lines that center the new characters, too.

Thomas and Subaru work out well because while they very heavily foil Barnaby and Kotetsu, both as independent characters and in their relationships to one another, they don't feel like replacements, or like the show is just trying to recreate the old magic now that Kotetsu and Barnaby have grown out of their initial dislike for one another with no passion behind it. While Subaru and Thomas have the same dynamic as Kotetsu and Barnaby, and similar personality traits, their backstories and goals are unique and fresh.

The show also places the older characters as mentor-like figures for the newer ones, but doesn't make that the ONLY thing that they do. They don't feel "stuck", because they still have their own spotlights and character growth.

I guess another way to put this would be that so many shows seem to shove their first main cast aside to make room for a new one in order to keep going. Tiger and Bunny's main cast, on the other hand, expands to make room for new characters, and Thomas, Subaru and Lara are integrated into the group instead of taking the place of the group.

Also, the core themes of the show do remain the same. Tiger and Bunny doesn't forget that, at its heart, it's a show about things like systemic discrimination and the evils that arise from placing profit above justice. They don't back down from portraying those themes. Sponsors continue to get in the way, and discrimination against NEXTs heavily continues.

This is from "Vow" a very very short fic where Barnaby just says his vows at his wedding to Kotetsu. This is practically 1/3 of the fic LOL. Feel free to steal it for your own wedding!

And Kotetsu has no answer. All he can give is broken sobs as he walks out of the room, door closing shut behind him.

I really like what I've done with this one because both sides are hurting from the loss of Tomoe. While Mura didn't know Tomoe all too personally, he does know much Kotetsu truly adored her, and doesn't want Kaede to be without a father figure (like they were in the case of this wip). Further context would spoil the plot for this which I wanna keep under wraps a bit.

Very simple, but in the full context it fucking hurts, and is based off of things repeatedly told to me growing up whenever I had a meltdown. Not a tantrum, an autistic meltdown; these two are often confused, which plays into the scene that surrounds this simple line of dialogue. I've told people there's a specific part of Spectrum I hope grabs them (if they're autistic too) but no one seems to guess it was this one, so it's going here!
