Welcome to Meyer fechtschule ⚔️🤓! I'm convinced that this style of training is accelerating my development as a longsword fencer more quickly than anything else I'm doing right now. Keep in mind that it's only safe for me to do this style of low/no gear sparring due to mt partner and I committing to a special ruleset, engaging in prolonged calibration sessions, and obtaining the supervision of an experienced proctor. We've also been swinging swords at each other for many years, so we know how to control our actions as well as anticipate each other's actions. DO NOT try this at home unless you can say the same!

Nail update: I went to the doctor to get an x-ray and antibiotics. When she told me about the side effects I asked her if I can practice martial arts. She told me that I "don't even look like [I] could do that" and when I asked her what she meant she said fighters usually "have muscles." It's never been more over 💀💀💀

I just stepped on a big nail that went through my shoe and all the way into my foot, to the hilt, horror movie style. Turns out it's not a big deal IRL! After I pulled it out and cleaned the hole I had no problem finishing my workout. Extremely over-rated trope!
