"Of course~" Rin chirped in reply, only to soon make a slight noise of realize before he added-- "Ah, so long as we're speaking about the wildlife, that is~…" A note of laughter following his words. Maybe it was comment that could've gone unsaid, but still-- given their topic of conversation, Rin felt it might be worth mentioning. Something else that went unsaid, but was likely still easily apparent, was Rin's appreciation for the respect Yun was giving him and his domain…

It was true that this spring and surrounding forest remained mostly untouched, save for a small bridge leading up to an area near the water, which was of course maintained… But aside from that, not many altered the nature here. Something that Rin was indeed thankful for… As while the modern world may be interesting, human greed wasn't a sight the water God took pleasure in seeing either.

"You sure that's okay?" Yun asked as he looked around the spring and Rin's territory. This was Rin's home, his domain, and the hell dragon was being respectful. Besides, the spring was one of the last few places that remained untouched by the modern age and Yun would like it to stay that way.

Yun will admit that in the past, he had hunted mostly the knights who had dared to trespass and even hunt in the forest under his domain. Things that Yun did not take a liking to especially when the knights would attempt to take more than their fair share and try to capture the unicorns.

Although free from any influence coming from the bright moon which shone full above, that did not mean Rin was free from his own share of ravenous feelings… And perhaps as much wasn't surprising, given the aura he'd been soaking in from the celestial.

But be that as it may, the dragon was far from selfish in any sense… And so, it was little wonder then that, after having pushed past the touch of nerves the idea brought-- The two would end up where they currently were…

It was certainly a good thing that the forest was empty; save for any animals who may wander too close before taking leave once more, if mainly a sentiment for Souji's sake-- as the tenin would no doubt be at least a little mortified should any other soul overhear the cries which rang from within their verdant cocoon. But those cries, oh how sweet they were to the dragon's ears…

Rin's own pale green gaze glowed as he gazed down at the ravenette beneath him, a sight no less beautiful than the flowers which illuminated the space surrounding them. And as his name fell from the other's lips, there was a low groan which rolled through the dragon-- "Hah… Souji~…" Almost purring the other's name in return, Rin couldn't help but squeeze the ravenette's hip a bit tighter in his hold as Souji's back arched, though he tried to be mindful of his claws... The energy which flowed into him at first bloomed like a warm spring breeze washing over, but-- that sensation was soon followed by the prickle of lighting through his veins-- previously subtly waning energy now spiking up once more. And of course, at the present moment, this could only lead to but so many things…

Shifting around slightly, one 'hand' moved from the flowers beside them, and was gently slayed across Souji's chest and shoulder-- smooth yet textured skin adding more warmth to the already heated skin beneath his touch. Those claws at the celestial's hip meanwhile, slid to hold the other's leg close to himself, effectively pulling Souji a touch closer. And although a part him wanted to apologize, in fear that this might be too much-- between this rush of energy, the dizzyingly sweet scent of flowers, and the bliss clouding his thoughts… That simply wasn't something Rin spared a moment for at present.

Picking up his pace, the dragon god spared little mercy in meeting his hips to the tenin's-- heavy breaths and lewd sounds easily tumbling past Rin's lips as he worked himself through a rhythm in and out of the other. "Ahh… Souji-- Souji~…" the ravenette's name again joined the chorus of pleasure from the god's lips. Still casing the high he felt creeping ever closer, Rin leaned in-- long tongue lapping at the celestial's skin before gently grazing with his fangs. His angle having in turn shifted slightly, now pressing even farther into the revenette's depths.

There stood little doubt that once this was over, Rin himself may very well apologize as well-- for fear that perhaps he went too far at any point, and out of concern that this may alter their relationship in a way Souji didn't fully wish for… seeing as Rin cared for the tenin as well.

But, so long as they were wrapped up in one another like this… Thoughts such as that weren't something to worry about. The only important thing was feeding one another's needs… Even if perhaps this wasn't something they'd end up repeating.

{headcanon/story speculation post, incoming, but--} *also putting this under a cut, because of heavy topics, that i don't feel like tagging--

I'll open this up by saying that, I may very well be reading too deep into these hints-- and so the details I'm pulling from them might eventually be proven incorrect, but...

In skimming over a section of the manga recently, I kept getting the sense that Rin's past with brides he's been offered over eras is a lot more than just rejection... A lot more than just fear... I really do get the sense that these crumbs we're being fed add up to the conclusion that at least a majority of these past wives have been killed, or at least passed on in some way or another-- And I also get the feeling that at least some of them, albeit without meaning for it to happen, ended up being Rin's fault.

As, if you think about it-- given the fragile nature of humans, paired with hints we've given-- (such as Tenko's comment on how Rin may end up [accidentally] killing Chiharu, and Rin's reaction towards it-- along with Rin's reflection towards how nights together with his sacrificial brides would usually go--) I think between accidental happenings, or mildly purposeful intention-- (given that, if these women had feared him so much as to plead that they didn't want to want to die, I can see Rin viewing it as a mercy to offer them "escape" from a life they clearly wouldn't want--) there have been at least some of those women who met their end thanks to the God taking all of their life force for his own.

I could also see some of them... Choosing their own path from this world, if you will-- But my main and mostly ending point here, is that for one reason or another-- None of the wives from those past eras have made it to the ending Rin once offered Chiharu-- To live together within the spring, as (at least somewhat) equals-- (given that said offer included changing Chiharu into a dragon like himself) And thanks to all this, that looming dread of his next relationship unfolding the same way-- No matter how joyous it may seem in the moment, is likely something that weighs on Rin more than he'd ever show.

I also don't think he's ever taken any of these "departures" easily-- Hence part of the reason he slipped into the state of detachment that was displayed during the initial time frame of the night he and Chiharu first slept together-- and why he tried to lull Chiharu into a state of dissociation as well. That way neither them had to directly confront the pain he expected might come.

"Aha, I believe I'll take you at your word for that…" Rin wasn't judging the other dragon, per se-- But, he still couldn't help the slight bit of nervous laughter that slipped him. It wasn't exactly a thought that appealed to him, but-- they could simply leave it at that, yes?

As the other pouted, however, Rin blinked a moment-- redirecting his focus somewhat. "Oh, in that case, would you like to catch something?" His home had more than a few choices on offer, after all... And while he didn't voice it, the question did come with an invitation of help from the God.

"They're pretty good all fried up and crispy with ketchup~" Yun can't help it, it's part of his diet! "Ale batter is the best for them." He though soon pouts and groans. "Great now I'm hungry..."

@tenrai-no-ame sent: ❤️‍🔥 {dropping in with one of these for Rin and Chiharu— because a certain sleepy dragon has now whined at me about it lol}

They tend to have slow, sleepy, early morning, just woke up sex that gets really heated, but Chiharu insists on trying to stay quiet.

Chiharu likes getting fingered way more than he is ever going to let on...and Run holding him down with his dragon claw while doing so is definitely a recurring dream.

Rin talks dirty to make Chiharu blush because he thinks it's cute. Chiharu starts doing it back for the same reason.

Rin is fascinated by love hotels and Chiharu likes testing out the bathtubs in these love hotels so they have a membership card to the chain ones for ~city dates~

Chiharu likes pushing Rin so far he loses control of his form since the first time it happened. He is low-key scared of certain parts of him transforming, but he likes having more erogenous zones on Rin to mess with.
