Have you ever been able to test all the Virtual Reality glasses?
I do!
I have tested a kind of prototype of a Belgian Architect company at an exhibition in 2015 in Kortrijk.
And to answer the question in the video above: YES, it’s worth it! It all seems so real! You actually stands still in the real word and goed on in the virtual world. You see yourself continuing to walk in the virtual world, that basically ensures you to want to start running in real life. It was just such a weird feeling in my stomach, so in the real world not to hace to anticipate it. That feeling in my stomach actually told me to go ahead!
I hope I ever be able to work with this Virtual Reality glasses. It was a really nice experience, both a really nice experience, both space and how you move in this virtual world seemed so real.

In an industrial interior, the raw materials are no longer tucked away but they are part of the interior. An industrial interior can get your old buildings by stripping or make a new houde with masory structures, ventilation pipes and other devices visible to leave.
For me it is very inspiring how the materials of the originally combined with certain furniture to an interesting interior. For others the interior just seems to be not yet completed.

This is one of the most famous dance by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. She is a minimalist choreographer. This performance was in conjuction with het company ‘Rosas’.
Her dance, I can keep looking. Both the dance and the music takes me. They ensure that you are taken in by building a sort of climax, because you want to see them reached to that height. That lets you simply drag in with them.
It is simply amazing how so few and small elements can provide such a big sensation.

Here is an example of 3D modeling and rendering. This example has been worked out on a program called ‘VectorWorks’. We’re learning to use this program at school right now. It also seems to be easier than ‘Autocad’.
And if I can give you one tip. If you want to learn how to use this program: Go classes. But if you do not immediately know someting how to do or where it’s standing after the teachers explained. Then first go look for yourself, then rather to ask immediately. As they say: ‘Learning by doing’. You’re going to remember it so much faster when you find it yourself, then that’s all you need to be said again each time.

Lately, there are more and more new, modern techniques introduced, such as 3D printing. Now, have you already heard of the 3D printing pen? It is easy to use and offers many possibilities.
Here’s a video with more information on the 3D printing pen.

These are some of my own 3D renderings, which I’ve made for my presentation fot my first and second assignment for the design profession.
My first assignment was to design a shop in to a shipping container of 12 meters long. We had to choose a brand and I opted for Polaroid.
In the second assignment we had to reallocate a command post on the coast of Ostend to a permanent residence.

Another possibility are closets in an artistic way. Of course there must be taken into account that in open boxes, the contents aren’t disturbing the whole of the interior.

Maximum storage may be processed in the furniture itself. So that the storage space is ‘out of sight’. This also ensures that much place is spared and that there is a more open and minimal feel, than there are cabinets all over the space.

For me personally should the furniture in an interior be as simple as possible, without too much ‘tralala’. Like such petty details as decoration. It may be as level as possible.

When a building has a certain uniqueness, I often find it important to preserve and partially to blend into your interior design.
Of course this also depends on what state the original is standing and to that extent it is possible.

When designing, I like to keep it as minimal as possible. I don’t like crowds and bombastic areas. In many other ways it may be also minimalistic. For me it may be simple ,beautiful and interesting.
So I’m going to inspire me in different areas. Both in interior design, architecture, sculpture, lifestyle and other forms of art.

Maarten Van Severen tentoonstelling Design Museum Gent.

Design Derby tentoonstelling Design Museum Gent.

Design Derby tentoonstelling Design Museum Gent.

Minimal Art (lights) - Dan Flavin
I love the light show in a large open space which makes this art minimal art.
It is simple but beautiful.

The last weeks I was working on a project for school. I had to design a store in a shipping container of 12m long.
I opted for the polaroid brand. My choice was so, as this is something that appeals to me very much but also because this brand had a lot of setbacks. Now Polaroid is a brand that is trying to reach the top again. So my goal with this design wa to help revitalize their brand.
It’s a kind of pop-up store where you can show 6 Polaroid Camera’s at once. The cameras can be stored in the cabinet where the cameras are shown, so you don’t losse space in the container for stock.
The use of colors and design of furniture and space is due to the logo of Polaroid.
For example, the doors and the cash register in the form of a Polaroid photo frame. The cash register has a built-in LCD screen that lets you play all the photos so that the cash register seems to be a Polaroid picture on his own. Also, the displayed cameras can be tested and the pictures of it hung on the wall behind the cash register and they can take a copy home.
Then we have the colors accentuates the stairs and furniture for displaying and storing the cameras.
The room has a minimalist feel, this is because the Polaroid brand promised to its customers simplicity an quality. This, too, I wanted to show by making a minimalist interior.
All of these features together in an interior make the store stand out among the people, when they pass the store. People knows the first time they see the store, about what brand it is, by the known elements that dominate the interior.
