*she smirks at his display* The Mighty John Smith. *sitting up, she considers the options* Here is nice, I know a few buildings and small towns up the road if shelter and possible loot is more appealing. Honestly, a door would be nice, headcrabs are sneaky mother fuckers and I doubt waking up to one of those latching on is a fun experience.

It's late anyway, I wouldn't want to go over the hustle of putting up a tent now. *Last good look at the stars, a deep sigh and then gets up as well*

The town sounds like a good plan. Who knows we might find something interesting too? Not headcrabs of course.

*she stares quietly, listening to john, then she chuckles* Small? I dunno, I feeling pretty big, what's out here? Bugs? Headcrabs? Hobos? Hm, what should we do now?

Well, best is to find a spot to camp and set up. We could either do it here or continue on a bit more, depends on how we're both feeling.

*she chuckles* Yeah, not the best idea, fucking with birds. Besides, Neuro and Sarin would give her some trouble if She messed with Veloce, kiddo is safe enough. *she watches the stars quietly too for a moment, then chuckles* Unless She goes full crazy mode again, maybe we should wish on that to never happen.

You wish on what you think is best, I'm sure that whatever it is, it'll help her grow up well.

*Once more quiet, looking up* It kinda makes you feel small, looking up and seeing all those stars...

All I can do is wish she won't end up as a test subject. At least Veloces and Sarin are good friends, should keep her off the list. *she shrugs* Honestly? I wish for Aperture to remain hidden, and functional. It's the safest place for Veloce at this time.

A wish for something like that wouldn't be bad. *Keeps watching the stars for a moment*

And I think She knows by now not to mess with birds.

You could make a wish for Veloce? That she may grow up big and strong. Or have a happy childhood? *Thinks on it a little longer*

*she follows his lead and lays back on the grass with a thump, then uses her arms behind her head as a pillow. she sighs happily* What would you wish for?

*he's quiet for a moment, thinking about it. quiet for quite a long time even* It's... mhm...

I think I'd wish that me and my friends get to live long and enjoyable lives. That be nice to wish for, we deserve that all after all the shit we went through.

*she waits until he swallows a bite before doing much the same, expect taking a normal sized piece. she savors it slowly, only speaking after her's is half gone* Best night ever. I wish all nights could be so great!

Let's savour it as long as we can, we'll remember this night for years to come. *With the box empty and his stomach full of pie, he lays back into the grass to watch the sky*

I just grabbed it, was in a walk in fridge somewhere, seemed fresh enough. How come in, stop worrying, start digging in. It's not going to get any fresher.

*just grabs a slice and eats it like a pizza slice. he did just grab one of the bigger slices though~*

*she's beyond impressed and eager, she sighs contently as the smell floats around them* GLaDOS would get better results if she used pie instead of cake. Where did you even get an entire pie anyways? Is it poisoned? Made out of epoxy and asbestos? *she eyes it again* Eh, if it takes as good as it smells, it'll be a fine death!

It’s the usual way I do it, you know we’ve done it dozens of times. *sits down, laying the box on the ground and patting the ground next to him* We’ll die of a sugar overdose, or a deliriousness overdose.

*she works on detangling the lake soaked mess of hair on her head and eyes the box* Oh? What did you steal? *laughing, she thinks on it* Hope it isn't tracked.

Oh please, as if they would track something as innocent as this. *Opens the box aaaaaaaand, PIE! A whole apple pie, the smell from it wafting through the air already*

I thought it was sweet to do this one last time, as we probably won’t come across one for a long time.

*she makes it to land and squeezes out her while picking up her jumpsuit and shoes* Aperture water has nothing on this lake.

There's one thing the Lake doesn't have though~ *walks up to a bush he had hidden the surprise in and takes out a cardboard box*

*laughs* You're such a dork. *she starts swimming towards the shore line, purposely tossing water at him as she kicks by*

And you love me for it! *Starts making his way back too, wanting to pull out the surprise for her, so starts to swim faster to try and surpass her*

*Gets splashed, chuckles* Getting a bit of muscle never hurt anyone, bet it would look good on you too.
