Her lovely bird companion, Golden Cockerel, helps her remain punctional. Don't be fooled by his sweet appearance - his sweet nature does not exclude pecking sleepy Pastila Cookie.

Ok, I need to discuss something with you cookie runners…

Affogato’s actions, can’t be defended…

You can come after me all you want, in saying ‘Oh, you’re just saying that because you like Dark Cacao’ No…I’m literally serious. He can’t be defended for his actions, because there’s literally no excuse. Having a rough childhood and backstory, doesn’t excuse his actions, it only makes us understand them.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Affogato’s way of leadership is right…

Well you’re wrong…

Because his way of leadership? It will doom the entire Dark Cacao Kingdom.

Case in point:

Affogato, uses the money in the Black Citadel’s vault to buy sweets. Later that same vault is mentioned by Chili Pepper Cookie to be completely empty.

So how much did the sweets cost, and how much did the vault have?

If this is how expensive or even hard it is to get sweets into the Dark Cacao Kingdom, to the point where the bank is LITERALLY EMPTY, then that means either Affogato spent all the money ON SWEETS, or he took the money and left.

Considering he was recruited into the COD seemingly immediately after the events in Dark Cacao Kingdom, I’d say he most likely, SPENT ALL THE MONEY ON SWEETS.

And considering the fact that the Dark Cacao Kingdom is poor, the economy of it and whatever savings Dark Cacao had spared would have been WASTED on sweets if ever they needed supplies from the outside.

You can say they can just sell things or bring in tourists, but that can’t happen…

The Dark Cacao Kingdom is not only poor but lives in a harsh environment. The only thing I believe they are able to sell is clothes.

Food? No, we need them to sustain our subjects save the food and preserve them for later use.

Milk? We need them to sustain ourselves.

Weapons? Who the hell buys weapons other than knights and adventurers? And we need them to defend our lands and arm our soldiers.

Sure it was successful in its economy BEFORE the War, but after when the Coffee Tribe and Licorice Village left or either died? It’s probably having a hard time sustaining it financially.

We also have to remember that the Dark Cacao Kingdom is the exact opposite of the Hollyberry Kingdom. To describe: It is the Raisin Village before Pure Vanilla but on a LARGER scale as it is an entire Kingdom/Nation. They can’t rely on natural resources, they have to hunt, unlike the Hollyberry Kingdom where natural resources are abundant and trade is mostly the income. Hollyberry Kingdom, has the resources available for the kingdom to THRIVE, but the Dark Cacao Kingdom? No…it doesn’t have those resources.

So whatever Plans Affogato had, he will eventually starve his people, because trade is unavailable and hard to the point where they can’t get rich on this. And because the lack of natural resources.

Let’s not forget this: Affogato is willing to banish Dark Cacao’s loyalists away, he isn’t willing to train new soldiers and has decided to just let his loyalists protect him. He is willing to deny people outside the Citadel AND the whole entire KINGDOM. Outsiders whether or not they live in the Citadel are NOT allowed inside.

This will eventually cause a REVOLT. A rebellion and Revolution. If Affogato did find a way to gain natural income, the way he denies people at the door because they don’t have the luxury of the Black Citadel, people will start to turn against him or die. It is similar to how the Creme Republic, treats the Lower City, but WORSE. The people will literally suffer the wrath of the wilds or the lack of food and resources. We already know that the people in charge of defending the Villagers were the Watchers of the Citadel, if Affogato manipulates them to not do their duty in helping the outsiders but instead protect him, then the Milk Village who remained loyal to Dark Cacao, will FALL. It will die, because there is no one to protect them from the Beasts. Sure some of them can fight, but considering that Dark Choco Cookie had to save the entire village in his young age from Wild CreamWolves, I’d say not many of them do know how to fight.

But there are still others who live around the area other than the Milk Village, considering Caramel Arrow Cookie’s remark to the rumors being spread, which is most likely not the Milk Village. And the cookie from the beginning of Episode 13.

But that makes it even more possible for a Rebellion against him, if this Cookie is willing to knock on the door for help, then others who have heard the tale of Ancient Heroes or other nations besides their own, will find help, OUTSIDE the Kingdom, Most likely, Gingerbrave’s Kingdom or Hollyberry Kingdom (Since they don’t know about the Creme Republic) since Affogato has no care of the outside world he will not see a rebellion coming, or better yet, his own loyalists turns against him.

His way of living will restart another version of himself, who absolutely despises him. Though the Dark Cacao Loyalists work in the Black Citadel, they also have families who don’t, possibly even Affogato’s. He will be killed by someone who he trusts and seems the most loyal to him until he is backstabbed.

Let’s not forget what he is willing to do as King.

He is willing to manipulate people

Willing to strike fear and banish those who oppose him

Willing to KILL those who get in his way and oppose him

Willing to ignore everything outside just to stay in the lap of luxury

Willing to not work at all

Willing to bribe others in the pleasure of wealth.

Willing to disguise it as for others pleasure when it is for his own.

People, This is isn’t a Leader…

THIS IS A TYRANT.

He is willing to Kill Dark Cacao just to get the throne and he is willing to do so to others to stay in it.

Do you really think he is truly right? No! The Dark Cacao Kingdom will not survive in his way of living and rule.

It will fall, by his hands and by the people.

Whether or not the COD interferes and Dark Cacao dies, his way will DOOM the Kingdom, till it’s nothing but history.

And if you’re saying Dark Cacao starves his people, again they Ration food, there’s probably not enough to last them a lifetime.

okay, thanks to royal mike I managed to binge on the odyssey content we have this far and OH BOY. it’s been only three days in the third chapter and I’m already feeling overwhelmed as hell. under the cut you’ll see some rambling about third chapter and a small piece of art. keep in mind that it contains a lot of spoilers.

i apologise for the rambling, but i need to speak about it at least somewhere-

okay, first let me get one thing off the mind. custard cookie (the elder, not the child we know) is an asshole. trying to use the soul jam in order to empower the custard house? putting a huge pressure on his son and belitteling him for his origins? not good. and, as a cherry on top, he left the creme republic while his son was still there, commanding an army. sure, other elders aren’t the best cookies either, but the custard cookie is something else.

speaking of something else, i wonder how everyone feels about mille-feuille ending up as a traitor, consindering that we had elders that sparked up much, much more suspicion( take the same custard cookie!). i can understand that her character and some of the reactions in the story might not be seen as trustful ones, but i’d be lying if i say i was not shocked and heartbroken during the reveal of her doings. i wish it wasn’t done for the shock value alone and her motivation and such change of the principles will be explained.

"power of friendship" endings would be better if one or more of the friends die first and their less-abled friends go rage mode and beat the crap about the BBEG to save their friends. What I'm saying is that I want the gingerbrave crew to be petrified except Zombie Cookie, who proceeds to smack Longan across the face with that heavy compass. They don't get any more powerful, they just get pissed off enough to kill.
