nobody ever talks about how long it takes someone to do something after a breakup. i remember i couldn’t go to chick-fil-a without wanting to cry because that was our favorite spot. or how everytime i ride a bike now i feel like the whole world will collapse on me. or even now that i’m moving on i don’t let a boy call me the things you would call me not even a simple “baby” because to me that was something only you were allowed to say. and the fact that i haven’t gone to the cheesecake factory because that was the first time you took me on a date. it took me so long to find something to do in the mornings because i would spend every morning sleeping with you. or how it took me so long to sleep without having a nightmare or waking up crying and i can’t even call you now to tell you. you said call me when i miss you but why don’t you answer the phone?
