You give the mercs a drawing of themselves

Scout

"Woah, somehow you made me look cooler than I already am!"

It flusters him a bit, he's never had someone give him something like this, but he wouldn't let you know that.

"'Course you drew me, im frickin awesome!"

Soldier

"YOU DREW THIS? FOR ME? THIS IS WONDERFULL, MAGGOT!"

Extremely proud of it and forces everyone to look at it.

He hangs it up in his room right next to the American flag and salutes to it every day

Pyro

So excited, they absolutely love it.

They immediately grab some crayons and start drawing you the best they can.

His drawing is covered in little doodles like rainbows and smiley faces, but you're in the center.

He keeps your drawing hung up with all of his drawings, but they make sure it's in its own area so he can find it easily.

Demoman

Takes a second to realize its him, but after he does, he's almost unreasonably excited.

"Aye is that me? Well look at that!"

Pulls you into a tight hug, most likely picking you up and spinning you around.

He hangs it up next to his bed with some other random drawings and posters.

Heavy

"You drew me? How sweet..."

He doesn't know exactly how to compliment it in English, but he tries. He also says a bunch in Russian that most if the team can't understand.

He keeps it framed on his nightstand

Engineer

Hangs it up in his workshop and looks at it every day

He's always only had things for practicality, things that have a use, so it confuses him a bit at first to have something that didn't seem to have a purpose.

He finds himself just starring at it a lot now, not sure exactly how to appreciate it properly

Medic

Puts it up in his office and shows everyone he treats or experiments on.

He raves about it in German, completely forgetting to translate.

"Ah, isn't zis just vonderful. You are very talented you know"

Sniper

Folds it up and keeps it on him at all times

"You... you drew me? Why me? Is that really what I look like? That looks mighty good, mate."

If he ever loses it, he tries to hint to you that he wants another drawing, but he will never just say it

Spy

This man is completely smitten. You will never be the same in his eyes, but in a good way.

If not romantic, then he actually just tolerates you now.

He keeps it in a drawer in his room, somewhere where no one will find it, but he can still look at it of he wants to.

Science Party

Slight swear warning

Short slightly crazy man x tall crazier man

Engineer now gets slight special treatment, if he's hurt than he's getting helped before anyone else. It doesn't matter if it's just a papercut.

Engineer has to ask Medic to get things down from shelves sometimes, he's a little ashamed about it.

Medic asks Engie to make machines for his experiments sometimes.

They pull all-nighters together sometimes; they might not be healthy but at least they're in love.

Not a super pda based relationship, they don't need to be touching for you to know they're in love.

"Me and the bad bitch I pulled by being autistic" but it's both of them.

They give each other the most creative fucking presents ever.

Engineer has made Medic metal flowers he made on multiple occasions, Medic keeps them in a vase on his desk and looks at them whenever he's particularly stressed out.

They're both flirty but they both get flustered if the other one flirts.

Engineer is used to doing things himself, so he's very confused by Medic's special treatment of him.

Slight swear warning

Engie doesn't care that he doesn't know that much about Pyro, that's his kid and he's damn proud of it.

Pyro has tantrums sometimes, they aren't anything serious, they just get upset. Engie is good at quickly calming them down.

Pyro gets upset when they fail to protect Engie's sentries.

Engineer got Pyro a mini version of their unicorn plushie to keep with then during missions. Engie understands comfort items.

Engineer is extremely respectful of boundaries, including Pyro's.

Pyro doesn't particularly like hugs or physical affection, but they're okay with Engineer hugging them as long as he gives a warning.

Pyro will follow Engie around like a lost dog sometimes, it's just something they do with people they like.

Pyro asked Engineer how sex worked one time... that was not a fun conversation.

Pyro tried to befriend a rat during a mission, Engie had to hold them back to make sure they didn't get rabies.

Pyro truly enjoys Engineer's music.

Engineer likes to bake for the team sometimes, and Pyro loves to help, even if it's just pouring ingredients or mixing a few things.

Engie learned sign language for Pyro so they could properly communicate.

Mediscout headcanons

I don't know a lot about this ship so I'm sorry there's not very many.

It takes Scout so long to get over Ms. Pauling, he must have seen Medic as a god or something I swear.

A lot of the relationship is just Medic babying Scout and Scout figuring out ways to make it up to him. Usually by letting Medic operate on him.

Scout gets so jealous, and it's so painfully obvious but he denies everything.

Scout gets mildly pissed if he sees Medic pocket anyone else on the field.

Medic does give Scout special treatment; he doesn't deny it either.

Scout must constantly be around Medic; he can't leave this man alone.

That's all I can really think of, sorry.

Halfway through this I started questioning if you meant it as a ship or not, I'm a little paranoid ngl.

Valentine’s Day hcs? (DemoSniper or HeavyMedic)

HeavyMedic Valentine's Day

I would do DemoSniper as well, but I don't know much about that ship, sorry.

Warning: Lots of gore (bc of Medic)

They both plan intricate surprises for each other, but they each take a very different approach.

Heavy first just gets Medic chocolate and some wine, just as a special treat, but he also cooks for Medic through the entire day.

Medic gives Heavy a bouquet of red roses and bleeding hearts (the flower)

Heavy plans an entire romantic picnic, with food all made by him (He's a surprisingly good cook)

He's terrified that he did something wrong since he doesn't know that much about German culture or even just how to show his love, but he still wants to show his love for his dear doktor.

Heavy also makes breakfast in bed for Medic, and they sit through the entire morning just talking about how much they appreciate each other. (Ik its cheesy leave me alone)

After Heavy's picnic is when Medic's surprise comes into play.

Medic brings Heavy to an unused room in the base, and on the floor are the words "I Love You" spelled out in blood and human organs.

He also gives Heavy a human heart preserved in a jar, which Heavy does keep in his room afterwards.

All in all, they both deeply appreciate each other's gifts and plans, even if Heavy was a little freaked out.

Medic is still crazy, just the romantic kind of crazy.

Sorry this took me so long to get to, I was going to post this yesterday but I got really sick so I couldn't.

Would literally just start talking about you like he talks about himself

Let's you hold his bat, only for a few seconds though.

Plays baseball or catch with you, or videogames if it's too hot or too cold out.

"If anyone talks bad about ya, I'll frickin' kill 'em. Don't listen to a word any other idiot says,"

Soldier

Not very good at comfort simply because of how loud he is.

"EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY, MAGGOT" And similar things.

Will hug you if you ask, but it is the tightest hug you will ever experience, it's almost painful.

He'll refrain from yelling at you before and after missions for a while, even though he hardly means anything he says anyway.

Gets angry if you talk bad about yourself even for a second and will aggressively yell at you. "DON"T YOU DARE TALK BAD ABOUT MY SOLDIER!"

Pyro

Surprisingly wholesome, very caring.

Will cover you and your gear in stickers and put colorful Band-Aids over any wounds or scars.

Basically forces you to hold his unicorn plushie.

Hugs. So many hugs. Literally clings to you until you feel better.

Watches cartoons with you with a pillow fort and snacks.

Demoman

Alcohol fixes all of his problems, it will surely fix yours, right?

The best of drinking buddies, downs bottle after bottle until you both black out.

He somehow wakes up before you and immediately realizes you're going to have a hangover.

"Ah, damn. Your head hurts, doesn't it. Let me help ya."

He helps you deal with your hangover and stays with you until you feel better.

"Don't be drinkin like that without me, alright?"

Heavy

He doesn't really know exactly what to do but is determined to try his best.

"What is wrong, Мой друг?" (My friend)

Gives the best hugs in the worlds, not to tight, surprisingly.

Cooks for you. Any kind of comfort food or even some Russian dish his mother made for him as a kid.

He'll listen to you vent for as long as you need. He's not great at advice, but he'll gladly listen.

Engineer

The definition of father figure

"C'mon, you're tellin' me what's wrong with ya.

He'll let you vent to him, giving you reassurance and advice if you need it.

Checks on you throughout the day, making sure you've had enough food and water.

If you happen to skip a meal, he will cook something for you and sit with you until you finish your plate.

Medic

He notice's something's wrong immediately, he knows how you act.

Brings you to the infirmary room/his office and waits for you to tell him what's wrong.

"Come on, Mein Liebling (My darling/dear) You can tell me vhats vrong" he says as he gently takes your hand into his.

He doesn't force anything, but gladly listens once you choose to tell him.

He lets you sit in his office for as long as you need, bringing you water and food when you need it.

He even lets you stay in there during experiments or surgeries, he doesn't care.

Sniper

Quiet guy, happy to listen.

He's very observant, so he immediately notices when you seem off.

He listens to you without saying a word, letting you pause whenever you need to.

"Listen to me, mate. I know things might be a little tough lately, but it gets better. You can come to me whenever you need to."

He'll let you hug him for once if you really need it. He's not super happy about it, but anything to make you feel better.

Spy

He's... not the best at comfort.

He's confused why you went to him of all people, but he cares too much to send you away even if he doesn't admit it.

Buys you something he knows you want, or just something that he knows will bring you comfort.

He'll let you smoke with him if you already do, but absolutely will not let you even look at a cigarette if you don't

Begrudgingly lets you hug him but doesn't hug back.

Father and Son

Spy and Scout family headcanons

It takes a long time for Scout to forgive Spy, he still insists he doesn't.

Scout has an entire identity crisis when he realizes he's part French.

Spy decides to play catch with Scout to "Give him the father bonding him he never got."

Spy is secretly very protective over Scout; he constantly reminds Scout to eat and asks how much water he's had.

Scout tried to smoke one of Spy's cigarettes one time. Spy, being hypocritical ass dad, goes on a rant of how unhealthy it is for him and makes sure to hide his cigarettes better ever since. (Don't smoke it is really unhealthy.)

Spy comforts Scout when he's upset over Ms. Pauling (Or whoever you ship him with)

Spy tires to be a wingman for Scout but Scout immediately shuts it down.

Spy has apologized so many times, mostly through notes left on Scout's bed or desk.

"Family dinners" Are very awkward.

Spy keeps a baby picture of Scout in his wallet

Doesn't even acknowledge it.

He will sit there with blood dripping down his face and onto his shirt.

If someone points it out, he'll just say, "IM NOT BOTHERED BY A SMALL WOUND, MAGGOT!" and continue with his day.

Pyro

Doesn't notice it at first

They only realize what happened once they feel something weird in their mask and take it off to see their face covered in blood.

Medic has to clean him up and put colorful Band-Aids on his face to make him feel better.

Demoman

Isn't worried

Tires to wipe it off with his hand but just gets blood everywhere.

Has blood on him until someone forces him to use a tissue or he takes a shower.

Heavy

Is kind of confused

He just holds a tissue up to his nose until it stops

He asks Medic just to be sure he's okay

Engineer

Honestly pretty normal about it

Continues working on stuff while wiping off his face with a tissue when he feels to much blood on his face.

He doesn't think it's important enough to stop his engineering

Medic

Gets slightly excited because "it's an opportunity to experiment.'

Collects his blood in a test tube.

Uses his blood for random experiments.

Sniper

Shoves part of a tissue into his nose

He can't let it distract it from his work

Forgets about the tissue until someone points it out.

Spy

One of the other normal ones.

Holds a tissue up to his nose until it stops

He has really fancy tissues for some reason

Demoman x Spy headcanons

Like any ship with Spy, very classic romantic. It can get cheesy at times but that's alright to them.

Drinking buddies. Spy prefers a red wine over what Demo drinks, but that doesn't stop them from hanging out together while drinking.

The pda does not stop with these two. Constant affection, all the time.

It does not matter where they are, Demo will at least have an arm around Spy, if he's not hanging onto Spy by the shoulders.

Spy has gotten pretty used to dealing with Demo's drunkenness, but it's a bit of a struggle on the nights he decides to drink a little more than usual.

Demo is loud enough for the two of them, and Spy doesn't mind.

Spy does get worried when Demo passes out from too much alcohol. It doesn't happen very often but sometimes Demo decides to "test his own limits"

Pet names. Constantly. Spy will call Demo things like Chéri (Sweetheart) and Mon amour (My love) but with Demo it's just whatever nice thing he can think of in the moment.

I hope you like these. I don't know much about this ship, but I tried my best.

Pool day

What the mercs would be like at the pool

Slight swear warning(?)

Scout

Splashing everyone constantly

Brings a ton of water guns and forces everyone to participate in a water gun fight. He has the fancy expensive water guns too.

Absolutely will compete with anyone to see who can make the biggest splash.

Took him forever to actually learn how to swim.

Yells "CANONBALL!!!" as loud as he can before jumping in the pool.

Forgets to put on sunscreen and gets super sunburnt. Complains to Medic after.

Pushes people into the pool.

Soldier

This man does not know how to swim.

He stays in the shallow end, probably doing some kind of Marine type training.

Takes Scout's water gun fight way too seriously.

If he is pushed into the deep end he just sits still and sinks to the bottom, someone else has to save him

Is a huge enforcer of the pool "rules". No running, no pushing, you have to wait 20 mins after you eat, etc. He does have a whistle with him and will use it.

Pyro

They can swim, they just choose to stay in the shallow end.

They like playing with those toy boats that can actually move in the water when you wind them up.

Buys candy or ice cream from the pool concession stand (We have these where I live idk about other places)

They generally have a lot of fun just sitting by themself in the shallow end playing with random pool toys.

Keeps their mask on unless they choose to actually swim around a bit.

Demoman

Does bring alcohol to the pool, he has to.

Sword fighting with pool noodles, that's all I have to say

Can swim and has a fun time doing it, but everyone is a little nervous with him being drunk in the pool.

Actual cannonball man

Will gladly play that game where someone climbs on his shoulders, and you fight against two other people.

He loves pool games, and he wins most of them.

Made a water balloon canon

Heavy

Is the man cooking a barbeque for everyone.

His food is amazing, and he makes sure the group has a full lunch to keep their energy up.

He'll some hang out in the pool but chooses not to swim all that much.

Brought the cooler full of water bottles, Demo put some of his drinks in there though.

Goes in the deep end once just to save soldier from the bottom.

Engineer

Mostly relaxes in the shallow end as well but goes int the deep end a few times.

Makes sure everyone is drinking enough water.

Brought a pump to blow up the pool floaties with because he doesn't want to do it manually ever again.

His robot hand can hold up in water, but he still keeps it out of the water most of the time just in case.

Hangs out with Pyro for a bit when he realizes they're alone (Sorry i headcanon him as a father figure for Pyro)

Offers to help out with the barbeque

Medic

Somehow the most graceful swimmer in the world.

Is the only one that actually knows proper CPR but prefers to let them die and respawn to "learn their lesson"

Brings some pool floaties for everyone

Also makes sure everyone is drinking water; he's not saving anyone if they pass out.

Tires to get everyone to wear sunscreen because he doesn't want to deal with the complaints of sunburn.

Doesn't help Scout with his sunburn, just says "I told you zis would happen" and gives him some aloe.

Sniper

Doesn't actually go in the pool that much, just sits on the side reading a book or something.

It he does go in the pool he just sits on the edge and puts his legs in the water

Refuses to participate in anything that could get him splashed.

If anyone splashes him, he gets pissed and gets out of the pool again.

Scout shot him with a water gun once, he never did it again.

Uses the water gun fight as an excuse to practice aim but says no one can shoot at him.

Spy

Stays on a floatie the entire time.

Like Sniper in the way that he will get pissed if he's splashed.

Keeps his mask on and puts sunglasses on over it somehow.

Constantly reapplying sunscreen, this man will not get burnet today.

Ends up falling asleep on the floatie and gets woken up by Scout jumping into the pool right beside him, causing him to fall over.

He sits on side with a towel and does not go back in the pool after that. He looks like a pathetic wet cat but still refuses to take his mask off.

Practical Espionage

All of the ships in this fandom are so cute AAAAHHHH

Total romantic couple, mostly because of Spy. Sometimes it gets really cheesy and Engie can't help but chuckle under his breath.

Spy absolutely spoils Engie. But Engie is used to only having practical stuff, so he has no clue what the use for all of the gifts is, he treasures them either way though.

Spy is constantly getting Engie flowers, mostly red roses, but he's completely stunned when Engie first gives him a small bouquet of handpicked wild daisies.

I can't figure out if there would be a tone of pda or if Spy would refuse any affection in front of others. I feel like it would be a struggle to get Spy to show affection in front of anyone at first, but once all of the other mercs knew about them it would be constant affection.

Spy makes sure Engie only has the best, which includes cooking him French meals as much as he can.

Engie asked Spy to teach him French, it's been difficult, but Spy appreciates the effort

Engie has to ask Spy to get things off shelves for him sometimes, he is not proud of it.

Thats all I can think of right now. I love engiespy, i think its adorable.

He's kinda confused at first. I mean, you seemed masculine as hell to him, what could be the issue.

He probably wouldn't come up to you first. Instead, you would show up to his campervan with an oversized hoodie on and your own arms wrapped around yourself. Probably a binder that's been on for too long as well.

You are one of the few people he actually trusts enough to let in his van, so he gently leads you in and asks what's wrong.

He lets you go on a rant about how much you hate your body, voice, personality, etc. or he lets you sit with him in silence, surprisingly calming silence, either way, he's there for you.

After a while he gently takes your hands into his. He understands exactly what you go through.

"Listen to me, mate" He speaks softly, almost in the same voice he uses when talking to himself during missions. "I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks, you are the most masculine guy I have ever seen."

After some more simple affirming, he goes on to list ways to help you feel more comfortable in your own body

He also ends up giving you a long rant on safe binding. He's learned from experience what binding incorrectly can do to you, he doesn't want you to go through the same.
