Hello Can I request headcanons of the mercs and how they act when jealous? If you can’t do all of them, support class is okay

Jealousy headcanons for the mercs when they see their s/o getting hit on (like full on swinging their arm over their shoulder, all touchy) Welcome to the fandom :)

Scout:

he’s petulant about the whole thing. he’s childish to the core and doesn’t handle jealousy very well despite his constant confident attitude.

scout glares at the person angrily and tries to be intimidating by insulting them, but honestly, he looks like an angry puppy or a kid wanting their candy back, so the person doesn’t take him seriously.

whines about it loudly the whole day and literally doesn’t shut the fuck up. he’s super cranky, it’s almost irritable, and never admits he’s jealous until you push it out of him. honestly, just give the poor boy a kiss so he can calm the fuck down.

Soldier:

doesn’t like the feeling. will not deal with the feeling. gets to work right away with no hesitation to get rid of whatever is bothering him.

will call out the person, using such colorful language and terms you weren’t aware he knew about and you’d watch as he absolutely obliterated the person with just his words alone. it’s honestly more than enough to scare them off and he radiates with pride once they do.

if it weren’t for his s/o being around to stop him, jane would’ve gladly snapped the persons neck or absolutely tortured them with his yelling.

Pyro:

you’ve fucked up my guy, big time. i don’t know what you were thinking, but you obviously don’t value your life.

they don’t quite understand what’s happening at first but immediately picks up their s/o’s discomfort, quickly angering them. pyro deems them as a threat to their s/o and mumbles angrily while bringing a hatchet out, ready to cut the person limb by limb. no one is allowed to make their other half feel that way and they won’t let it happen.

the person will be running in no time due to pyros behavior and once they’re gone for sure, they turn around and embrace their s/o tightly with a happy squeal as if they didn’t just threaten someone moments ago. they also caress their hair comfortingly just in case the situation has affected them.

Demoman:

he’s really insecure initially so the whole thing just makes it a lot worse than it’s supposed to be. demo already has the mindset that he doesn’t deserve his other half and crumbles just seeing the scene play out in front of them.

if he’s drunk, he’ll just tell the person off with a glower and scare them away with insults or his usual, crazy behavior. if he’s sober, he’ll handle the situation a lot better, simply excusing you both from the person with a glare and scowl. he’ll keep a close eye on them just in case.

either way, he’ll become unusually clingy with his s/o, often latching onto them like he hasn’t seen them in years. demos already clingy as he is but once someone deems as a threat to take his s/o away, he’s basically all over his other half in hopes to get the message across to the person and to let his s/o know that he loves them more than anyone.

Heavy:

barely gets jealous because he trusts that his s/o will do the right thing, even when he’s not around. all in all, he just doesn’t trust the other person. following that, he will watch the other person if they try anything funny. that’s when he’ll step in.

will show signs of discomfort over jealousy, often just standing on the side, hoping his s/o will get the sign that he wants to leave. if they don’t, he’ll gently pull their hand and speak; “we must go.” even if they protest, he will pull them elsewhere.

he’s one of the mercs who handles his jealousy/discomfort maturely and takes his s/o somewhere private to speak about his feelings; “misha did not like the way they looked at (y/n).” once they comfort him, he will feel relieved and brush off the situation. he’s just really protective and wants to make sure that everyone knows they’re taken.

Medic:

part 2 of do you even value your life, my good man. this man will literally fucking saw you in half and steal your organs if you cross his line.

he’s quiet at first, observing the situation with the biggest scowl ever as the person speaks to his s/o so daringly. youd think he’s handling it well due to his calmness, but little do you know, he already has something planned. his s/o watches as the person turns white upon looking behind them and runs off with barely a goodbye, leaving them absolutely bewildered.

“what was that all about?” they questioned with a raised brow, staring at the person who continued to run off. medic chuckled and pushed his amputator back into his coat with a menacing smile. “i am not so sure myself, liebe.”

Sniper:

he doesn’t like jealousy and he definitely doesn’t know how to handle it well. doesnt tell his s/o he’s jealous and denies it even though it was deathly obvious. depending the intensity of the situation, he can handle it a little more maturely and some days, well..

if it’s a simpler situation, such as them just casually flirting with his s/o, he’ll just growl under his breath as he shoots sharp glares at the person. his glare becomes so aggressive that the person just ultimately feels uncomfortable and walks away to avoid his stare.

if they don’t walk away and decide to pull bold moves on his s/o, he’ll step in with an angered expression and shoo them away himself. “oi! scram, ya damn weasel! take your business elsewhere!” he’ll let out a string of curses as they run away, not realizing the position he put himself in. once he does realize his s/o chuckling at his behavior, he’ll blush furiously and deny the fact that he was jealous or just walk away, holding his s/o’s hand with his hat tilted down.

Engineer:

he’ll try to smile through it, not wanting to lose his cool in front his s/o and greet the person formally as their boyfriend. he’ll really emphasize it; “howdy, my name is dell. i see you’ve already met my lovely partner.”

but if they take it a notch too far, such as swinging an arm around their shoulder, his nice guy facade ultimately breaks and he won’t hesitate to show it, quietly threatening them; “now ya keep your filthy hands off my sweetheart or things are gonna get real ugly.”

if he does lose his cool somehow, he’ll drag his s/o elsewhere and apologize to them for his behavior and explain how he felt about the situation. he’ll make it up to them by bringing them to dinner or just simply spending time together.

Spy:

doesn’t show he is one bit and keeps himself composed during the whole ordeal. he’ll throw the occasional insult or comeback here and there with a scowl, but just watch on the sides for the most part.

sometimes he’ll become very affectionate whenever someone has their eye on them and makes sure that he sends the message that they’re definitely not available; a kiss on the neck, an occasional hug from behind, intertwined fingers is more than enough.

and if the person doesn’t get the message or outright chooses to disregard it? well, i hope they enjoy a knife dug deep into their back the next morning.

hello! I hope this hasn't been requested before but, can you write some lovesick headcanons for the mercs? i'm talking totally head over heels, just absolutely immobilized by their feelings type of lovesick. How would they handle themselves? thank you so much ><

Sorry I wrote a whole essay lmao. I assumed that the the reader and the merc are already together in this. Also sorry, I didn’t really know how to write lovesick mercs so this kinda just ended up being how their behaviors change once they become lovesick.

Scout:

Is always trying so, so hard to impress you. He always shows off when you’re around; if he’s on the battlefield, he’ll say “Hey toots, watch this!” And will show off his speed or his aim. He’ll always come back and be all, “Damn, it must be amazing having an awesome boyfriend.”

He’s always bringing you food. When he buys food, he’ll offer to share it with you. If you say no, he’ll just shrug and say “Your loss.” He never, ever shares his food with anyone other than who he’s interested in, so as silly as it sounds, sharing his food with you shows he loves you.

He can be a little clingy sometimes, but he tries to cover it up, especially around the other mercs. He always has to come greet you if you show up after being away for more than an hour, usually with an arm slung over your shoulders and sometimes a quick smooch.

He’s always flustered by you giving him affection. Even something like holding his hand or giving him a quick peck on the cheek makes him turn bright red. In private, he’s always trying to get affection from you, and he can’t live without it. He’s always trying to hug, spoon, or cuddle you, every chance he gets.

He becomes a little more protective of you. In public, he’s always ready to tell someone to go screw themselves if they get friendly with you. He won’t hesitate to punch anyone who touches you.

The reason he loves you so much is because you treat him correctly. All of his relationships in the past have been purely sexual, even if he did want a real relationship with the girl. He can’t believe he has someone who loves him and takes care of him and doesn’t demand sex or complain all of the time. Sometimes, he asks himself how he scored someone as amazing as you.

Soldier:

He becomes very protective of you, though he’s not at all restrictive. He allows you to go anywhere or do anything you want and fully trusts you, but he’ll always ask if you’d like him to come with you for protection if he isn’t already coming with you and offers you weapons to defend yourself with.

You’re one of the only people who are allowed to touch his raccoons, the others being Demo and Engie. He doesn’t trust most people with his raccoons believing they’ll try to take or eat his pets, but he completely trusts you with them. He’ll often ask if you’d like to hold or feed one. Surprisingly, the raccoons are completely docile around you and act like weird, mute dogs. The raccoons hate everyone else, including Soldier. Highkey cries when he sees how well his raccoons behave with you.

He trusts you to know that he was never actually in the military. When he tells you, you know he trusts you more than anyone on the planet and he’s at the point where he would absolutely take bullets for you without any hesitation.

You’re the only person who can get him to behave. Usually, he won’t listen to anyone except Ms. Pauling, and even for her, he won’t do anything he doesn’t like unless he absolutely has to. But for you, he’d do anything without hesitation. That doesn’t mean he won’t voice his opinions if he doesn’t like what you’re telling him to do.

The reason he loves you so much is that you accept his strange behaviors. Most people are rude to him and often make fun of him, even to his face. But you treat him normally, while accommodating his eccentricities. Even though he won’t say it, he appreciates that you respect his strange interests and behaviors and still love him.

Pyro:

Pyro wants to spend tons of time with you. They want to show you their newest crafts and creations and do all sorts of fun things together. It gets to the point that they can be a little clingy, but if you explain how you feel about it, they’ll quickly back off with no hard feelings.

You get lots of hugs, cuddles, and nuzzles. Pyro loves to receive and give physical affection, so it’s often how they show how much they love you. Quick hugs and nuzzles are often how Pyro greets you, often accompanied with tons of giggling. They also love to cuddle with you when the two of you have any free time.

Whenever Pyro makes any treats (they love baking and making candy), you’re always the first person who gets to taste it. The first few times they tasted horrendous, but after a little while Pyro got really good at making it. Scout always tries to get the first taste, but Pyro is always there to slap his hand away and scold him, even when he sneaks into the kitchen.

Pyro gives you tons and tons of gifts. They’re often drawings of you two together, and the aforementioned sweets. Though of course, due to their hallucinations, gifts sometimes are something freaky like an arm. But most of the time, they’re very sweet gifts accompanied with a quick hug or kiss if their mask is off.

The reason they love you so deeply is the same reason Soldier loves his S/O; because you treat Pyro as normal, while taking care of all of Pyro’s eccentricities and problems. You don’t treat Pyro like they’re just a scary maniac, you treat them like a person. But, you also don’t discourage Pyro’s stranger behaviors. You just accept them just how they are and they deeply appreciate that.

Demo:

He’s a very physically affectionate man, so hugs and kisses are a regular thing, especially as a greeting, but he’s never clingy or physically demanding. He loves to kiss your cheeks or temples or put a arm around your waist, but most of the time he just holds your hand. If he’s been away from you for more than a day, he always excitedly greets you by wrapping you in a bear hug and giving you a big kiss.

He looooooves going to new places or adventuring with you. He’d love to take you back to Scotland and show you his favorite places and some national events, but he’d equally love to go to where you’re from, even if the place you’re from is near or in Scotland. If your culture means a lot to you, he’d love for you to tell him about it, and he could listen to you for hours. He’s mentally taking notes of your favorite parts of the culture, such as events or food, so he can do something for you.

You discover that he’s actually a very supportive person and an excellent listener. If you ever need to rant about something making you upset, he’ll pull you onto his lap and ask you to tell him about it. He’s actually pretty good at giving you advice.

The reason you mean so much to him is because you’re his rock. He’s a man who’s always had to deal with his demons by himself. However, he was too weak to fight them, which is why he turned to alcohol. But you supported him, spoke to him about his problems, and encouraged him. You were able to make him feel better about his mistakes and his appearance. You’re even the reason he cuts back on drinking (he doesn’t stop, but he’s no longer drunk 100% of the time). The fact that you care about his emotions and well-being when no one else did always gets him a little emotional.

Heavy:

Even though he obviously doesn’t see you as a sibling, he can’t help but activate his protective big bro instinct. He always discourages you from doing anything risky or dangerous, and will focus a lot more on protecting you, especially if you’re a fellow merc. He prefers for you at least to be in the same room as him so he can watch over you. But he still respects your independence and doesn’t tell you not to go somewhere unless he’s 100% convinced there’s a real danger.

Every once in a while, he likes to make food from his homeland/childhood, though he shares it with nobody, not even Medic unless he’s in a really good mood. But he always asks you to taste his latest meal. It’s not often you see him so happy, but he loves sharing something that means so much to him with you. He’s beaming if you completely clear your plate or bowl.

You are the only other person allowed to touch his guns. You were actually surprised by this. You aren’t allowed to USE his guns, but he doesn’t have a problem with you touching them. He makes sure to watch carefully when you do, though, so you don’t damage it accidentally.

He loves you so much because of the emotional intimacy and trust you share. Trust is something he values deeply, and he doesn’t give his trust easily. But you were kind and honest and obviously trusted him, so he began to trust you. Once you two started dating, he opened up more about all the horrible things he’s been through, and instead of being disgusted by his actions, you said you were sorry he’s suffered so much. The fact that the world, which he always knew was cold and unforgiving, had produced someone so forgiving and kind like you, always has and always will baffle him.

Engie:

He loves to take you on cute domestic dates. This was already the case when you two were still only dating, but he amped it up once he really fell in love. He’ll spend more time away from the lab so he can spend more time with you. He loves little dates like cuddling up with a movie, making dinner together, or going into a nicer town for a walk in the park. He especially loves to bring you little gifts for a date, which usually is something sweet, cute, and simple like a bouquet, even if you’re super masculine.

You’re the only person other than Medic that he trusts around his sentries or his lab. Of course, he doesn’t allow you to work on them, even if you’re also an engineer, as he doesn’t want the sentry to be damaged or you to get hurt. But if you promise to be careful, you’ll be allowed in while he’s there with you.

When you two were only dating, he had a couple little nicknames for you, like Sweetheart. But now he lays on as many as he can think of, and of course they all sound amazing in his cute accent. He loves to use nicknames like Sugar, Honeybee, Darlin’, Baby, and Cutie/Handsome/Gorgeous, and that’s only a fraction of the nicknames he uses for you. He doesn’t hesitate to use them in front of others, too.

Engie doesn’t love you for any particularly deep or significant reason; he just loves your personality, your mannerisms, and your beliefs. He’s a man who lives for the domestic part of a relationship, so he tends to feel hopelessly in love when you two spend time together like he’s a normal man, not a full-time mercenary. He just loves having you in his life, and with the life he lives he’s honestly surprised he was able to find himself with someone like you, even if you’re a fellow merc.

Medic:

He surprises you with how much he cares about you and your feelings. To everyone else, he’s a very selfish person who only cares about himself and his experiments. And while he was a little more considerate of you when you were only dating, you still acknowledged this in your mind. But after he fell in love, he’s always asking you how you are and cares deeply about how you are feeling, physically and mentally. It honestly really surprised you.

You are the only other person on the whole planet who is allowed to pet Archimedes; he deems you worthy and competent enough. He loves showing his birds to you and having you help him care for them, though he does get a little jealous if his birds steal your attention away from him.

Medic is an attention-seeking baby and loves when you spend time with him or do things with him, but he usually isn’t very demanding unless he’s really stressed and needs comfort. He likes to pull you away to talk to you or ask you to relax with him, and he tends to pout if you say you can’t.

Medic loves you so much because you embrace his eccentricities. He loves that he can do whatever he wants and you don’t care as long as he’s not putting himself in danger (though he sometimes does intentionally, as he loves to be fussed over/given attention). You encourage him and appreciate his enthusiasm, even if you’re grossed out by his unique occupation. But he really loves that you love him despite how weird he can be. He can sit with you and tell you about his latest experiment or talk with Archimedes and you’ll just watch or listen like he’s completely normal. He loves not being treated like he’s nuts or creepy.

Sniper:

He starts to really open up about the impact all of the bad events in his life has put on him. He’ll ask if you’re comfortable with him sharing about it, and if you say yes, he’ll sit you down and tell you about everything he’s been through. A lot of bottled up emotion comes out and he needs a lot of hugging, cuddling, kind words, and kisses. Once he opens up about this, you know that this man would trust you with his life without question.

He becomes a little needy when it comes to physical affection. It doesn’t show in public, so it’s not annoying, but has to be touching you most of the time when you’re alone with him. He loves hugging you from behind and burying his face in your neck, or pulling you onto his lap to press a deep kiss to your lips, but he also lives for all of the smaller touches, like handholding or pecks on the cheek. He’s always been touch-starved, so having you to cuddle close to whenever he needs touch is amazing for him. You’re like a security blanket for him sometimes.

He’ll want to take you out to explore with him. He already did when you two were just dating, but now he wants to show you the places he really loves or mean a lot to him, like places his parents took him. He’ll spend a little while telling you about the things he did with his parents, but he spends most of the time trying to create new memories with you.

Sniper cares so deeply about you because you treat him with kindness. This man has had such a harsh, pain-filled life that he was certain he’d never by truly happy. Just like Heavy, he thought the world was cruel and cold, so he was surprised to find a person who so genuinely cared about him and wanted to make him happy. He’s so grateful to have someone so good in his life, and he’d do anything for you.

Spy:

He starts to like your more personal, domestic moments together. When you two were only dating, he preferred extravagant and expensive dates, as he was trying to impress you. But he started to realize he loved when you’d just spend time together like a normal couple, like cuddling up with a movie or making food together. It allowed him to relax and focus more on sharing an intimate moment with you rather than impressing you. It let him be more himself rather than the fake personality he’s created, and it makes him realize how exhausted he is with acting this way. Any moment when he can chill, be himself, and spend time with you is always his favorite moment of the day.

As weird as it sounds, his compliments change. At first his compliments are exactly what you’d expect from a Casanova like him. Very smooth but expected compliments about how lovely you look, often accompanied with a kiss on the hand. But once he’s truly in love with you, his compliments are much more heartfelt. He compliments all the things he truly loves about you, like maybe the colors of your eyes or the feeling of your hair. They always come with a warm smile rather than a confident smirk, and often a kiss on the cheek or forehead too. He always looks at you like you’re the most beautiful and amazing thing in the world.

It takes a lot to get Spy to be head over heels. But, it can be done if he begins to trust you and you show him you completely trust him with personal stuff like your origin or your feelings. It’s that mutual trust (or at least the beginning of it) that makes him fall in love with you, and actually completely and fully trust you. After that, he’d be willing to give up his identity, his reputation, or even his life for you.

How would the mercs react if they found out someone was hitting on their s/o? (Significant Other)

*cracks knuckles* prepare for some angry beefy men

Demo:

Would most definitely chug a whole bottle before walking over to his S/O and the poor wimp hitting on them.

He’d stomp his way over to his S/O and throw an arm around their shoulder.

“Aye, be a dear and get me another bottle? I’ve seemed to have run out.” He’d say in the soberest voice he could manage.

When his S/O would roll their eyes and leave, Demo would give em a light (but loud) spank.

He’d then lean against the table and glare at the sorry sap, scowling and running his finger across his throat.

The poor guy would run away as Demo laughed.

When his S/O returns with a drink they’d ask where the other guy went.

Demo tells them not to worry about it and gives them a sloppy kiss.

Heavy:

As soon as he sees the guy flexing in front of his S/O he’d calmly walk over and cross his arms across his broad chest.

“(Y/N), you appear to face someting on your face.”

His S/O would blush and feel their face, but Heavy just laughs and leans in whispering “It’s right… There.” He’d kiss his blushing S/O with a smile.

“Ah! It was a kiss this whole time.”

As his S/O blushes and giggles, Heavy is glaring at the guy, all the while flexing his biceps.

The man excuses himself and hurries away.

Heavy smiles and kisses his S/O’s cheek before picking them up and taking them to get some food.

Scout:

He hears his S/O laugh from across the room, its like music to his ears. He puffs out his chest and runs his hands through his hair before seeking his loved one.

He stops dead in his tracks when he sees his S/O laughing with some unfamiliar guy

Immediately stomps over and holds his S/O close by the waist.

“Who’s dis clown, huh? What do ya want?”

His S/O calmly explains that they happened to bump into each other and began to talk.

He’d give the guy a hard stare, looking up and down at him.

“I don’t like da looks of dis guy, his eyes are too far apart and he’s got a booger in his nose.”

The guy covers his face in embarrassment while Scout’s S/O slaps his chest, telling him to not be rude.

“I’m just sayin’ toots, dat’s not a man you wanna screw around with.” And with a huff, he’d drag his S/O away and leaves the guy behind them in complete despair.

Sniper:

He had just woken up in his camper and stretched. He turned to see an empty spot in his bed, where his S/O usually sleeps. He doesn’t think much of it until he hears two people talking outside the door.

He drags his way over to the door and opens it only to find his S/O and some guy talking.

Sniper is in nothing but his pj pants, both his S/O and the guy staring right at him.

He’d blush heavily and slam the door. His S/O rolls their eyes and continues to talk.

Sniper runs his hand down his face until he hears his loved one laughing. He growls ever so slightly and looks out the window.

The guy is touching his S/O’s shoulder! How dare he!?

Sniper grunts and takes a seat at the steering wheel, calmly placing his keys in the ignition and punches the gas pedal.

The loud revving of the camper scares the guy and quickly runs away without giving the S/O a second glance.

S/O totally knows why Sniper does it and gives him a loving look.

Medic:

He took his S/O out to town when it happens.

They chose a nice restaurant to eat at, once they’re seated Medic excuses himself to wash his hands. (Which may or may not still have blood on them)

When he comes back he finds that another man has taken his spot and is chatting with his S/O

He’s furious but he keeps a straight face.

He carefully walks over with a smile and greets his S/O.

S/O explains that the man sitting in front of them was an old friend and they were catching up.

Medic just smiles and laughs, introducing himself. He gives the man a pat on the back, a syringe with tranquilizer hidden in his hand.

The man immediately passes out and Medic calls for a doctor.

Once the man was rolled out of the place, Medic sits down with a triumphant smile.

His poor S/O was none the wiser, assuming that their friend had health issues and Medic agrees with them wholeheartedly.

Soldier:

Soldier had just come back from an away mission completely covered in blood.

He laughs loudly as he kicks open the door and shouts “Honey! I’m home~!”

When his S/O doesn’t respond he sets out to find them.

He hears his S/O’s voice from the bathroom, they’re speaking to an unfamiliar voice.

Proudly walking into the room he stops in his tracks to find his S/O and a plumber chatting away.

The plumber is trying too hard.

He’s flexing.

Only Soldier can flex towards his S/O!

Soldier yells “Attention!” to get the plumber too look at him, and not at his S/O.

The man screams as he sees the blood on Soldiers uniform and quickly runs out.

Soldier laughs and tells his S/O that he can intimidate any man with just a glare.

His S/O shakes their head and agrees.

“Who’s gonna fix the showers now?”

Pyro:

Pyro took their S/O to a county fair.

The both of them were having a blast and decided to stop at a popcorn stand.

Pyro went to save seats as their S/O bought the food.

It was taking awhile and Pyro began to worry.

Pyro decided to see what they’re S/O was doing, and saw the popcorn stand guy chatting happily with they’re S/O.

Pyro scowled and shoved his way towards the S/O.

As the S/O turns and finds Pyro, it’s too late.

Pyro jumped onto the stand and yelled at the top of his lungs before pouncing on the popcorn guy.

Needless to say, the both of them are banned from the fair.

But Pyro gets a sweet kiss on the cheek at the end of the day.

Engineer:

Engie was relaxing at the beach with his S/O, who decided to play a round of volleyball with the new people they met.

Engie took out a beer and glanced over at his S/O, but was shocked to see his S/O standing there, caught in between a game of keep away.

After closer inspection, he saw the guys were really touchy-feely.

Engie groaned and made his way towards his S/O.

As soon as he was spotted, poor Engie was criticized about his height.

His face grew red and grabbed the volleyball that rested near his feet.

“Fellas, if you lay another hand on my darlin’, you better hope this unfortunate ball isn’t you.”

Engie only slightly squeezed and the ball exploded.

The men ran away after that, giving back the S/O whatever they took from them.

The sparkles in his S/O eyes made Engie proud.

Spy:

Spy sat in his study, slowly smoking his pipe. He immediately perked up when he hears an unfamiliar voice behind the door.

He got up to inspect it and opened the door, finding his S/O chatting with a man.

His S/O explains that the man is there to check on the crew, making sure everything is A-okay.

Spy smiles and lets them go by, but quickly cloaked himself.

He follows his S/O and the man, scowling whenever the man gets too close to the S/O.

The man was about to leave and the S/O escorted him out. When they reached the door, the man leaned in with his lips puckered.

Just before he made contact with the S/O’s cheek, Spy uncloaked with a knife at the man’s throat.

“Need something, mon chere?”

The man leapt away, never to be seen again.

can we cry together? like i was so happy for eremin moments because we have barely any and then they have to mention mikasa. like i love her and wanna marry her but let eremin have their moments.

It’s not even about ships for me tbh. I knew since the beginning that there was a pretty 50/50 chance in eremika becoming canon so I wasn’t exactly surprised but... well... it was so out of place.

Eren did the rumbling because she family-zoned him? He wants to “keep her all to himself”? He was talking like some sort of yandere incel out of nowhere I was so confused... especially considering he had never really vocalized or expressed such thoughts before. The even worse part is the way he compared Mikasa to Ymir, who is apparently in love with sir King Pedo Fritz (supposedly they are parallels). Made me want to vomit in my mouth.

Both girls were done so dirty in terms of development. It’s like he took all that development he gave Mikasa in 138 and ripped it right from her. Every single aot girl got done so dirty actually- I’m upset.

And Eren becoming a fucking bird? A BIRD? I’m sorry I laughed when that happened- idk if I was supposed to feel sad or touched but it was just so cheesy.

Anyways, Eren’s motives were ass and his POV turned out to be shit. Jean and Connie died only to be revived. Everyone is happy blah blah everyone forgives Eren for some reason blah blah and the alliance + paradis doesn’t seem to feel guilt or experience any kind of consequences/backlash for the shit that’s happened.

The ending was rushed, simply put. It’s clearly a ploy for fan-service but oh well, I guess when things get popular that’s what they do; try to make the most money possible and resort to lazy writing.

I’m sorry if I sound so upset in this reply but MAN I am still so disappointed in this ending. Never watching shonen again.

absolutely love it when people are like I dont think anyone understands the ending and thats why they are hating it yes sure sis i absolutely do not understand

why armin would condone Eren genociding 80% of the world

why eren’s answer to everything is i wanted to see a blank canvas, my thoughts are messy bc time is non linear in my mind, idk man it had to happen anyways i love mikasa, and ymir chose mikasa but why? that is between god and isayama.

i also absolutely do not understand why historia is suddenly an ethnonationalist accepting whatever eren did + leading Paradis as a fascist leader

i absolutely do not understand how in gods name a character who has always looked beyond, sought freedom and justice and explicitly stated that the ones inside the walls and the ones outside are the same would not fight against his visions and would stomp on 80% of humanity bc “i wanted to see a blank canvas” and i absolutely do not understand the point of introducing the “everyone is born special” theme in the story if 80% of the everyone in question is gonna get rumbled.

i also do not understand the absolute madagascar-esque idea of making someone reiterate the necessity to fight, move forward, live freely, live with dignity, and most importantly, the right to exist and belong in this world irrespective of being special/not to not only turn out to be anti thesis of said qualities but to actually revoke 80% of the population’s right to exist for NO GOOD REASON bc guess what war is inevitable and “we may have to wipe each other out after all” like we didnt know already that meaningless genocide doesnt solve anything? i dont think anybody actually thought that was the answer to anything but then why do it in the first place? the fact that isym makes eren dodge everyone one of armin’s “but why?” question including the point of such unnecessary horrror w some boring shit abt forest, river and a blank canvas explains p well that there was no point. it really is isayama admitting he bit off more than he can chew.

you can say that him resolving the two other plot points— beauty/cruelty theme and the titan question is good writing and the other characters moving on and trying to achieve peace leaves a good taste in the mouth and yes i agree w it but you cant just say—

assassinating a character by deliberately writing him along the lines of a character who you know was poorly handled (yes im talking about Daenerys)

leaving so many unresolved themes (freedom from the threat of extermination? not found. relief from a caged existence? not found. possibility of co-existence? just hinted at) unexplained elements + plotholes (source of all life? poof ymir fritz? poof historia’s pov? poof)

making a mess of your narrative (make people feel for eren and share in his cause only for him to do a 180 degree of everything he stood for and if this is not enough “irony” then heres the icing on the cake: the first ever tragedy that befell the tragic hero was a result of his own doing. so yeah its all just a big joke)

let alone that absolute bullcrap excuse of “pain of love” (toxic misogynist het bs in fucking 2021? i think NO altho hardly shocking considering the protag’s bestie thanks him for genociding) are things that every reader has the right to resent and refute.

How would the mercs react with a sensitive s/o, like one that tended to cry a lot?

Heavy:

Very, very careful about his words.

Always watches his S/O reactions towards specific topics, just to see whats okay to do or say.

If he sees someone upsetting his S/O he ends that shit immediately. He’s not having it.

He’ll put an arm around them and walks them away, whispering words of love.

Heavy is always available to hug and cuddle if his S/O is crying, whether it be in the early hours of the morning or in the dead of the night.

Warns his crew before they meet his S/O, threatening to crush their baby skulls if they make a single tear fall from his S/O’s precious eyes.

Everyone is ultra nice to his S/O from then on.

Except Scout makes them cry one time by accident and has since then been on the run.

Medic:

Uses the tears to his advantage.

He’ll run over to his S/O, a jar in hand when he sees his S/O crying and effectively catches every single tear they shed.

Whatever experiments he performs with those tears, no one ever finds out.

But he’ll comfort his S/O afterward, giving them a pat on the back, telling them everyone is okay, he’s here now.

Gives his S/O soft pecks and nose rubs.

If he catches one of his teammates making his S/O cry, he changes from happy silly doctor to trigger happy medic.

He can and will bash a beaker over their head and smile at his S/O with love.

In the next battle, he makes sure that particular teammate doesn’t have a chance to feel any kind of mercy.

“That was for my love, you scum.”

No one messes with the S/O after that.

Scout:

Feels super guilty for making his S/O cry once several months ago from something that wasn’t even his fault.

Becomes his S/O’s bodyguard and makes sure nobody messes with them.

Always has an arm around them and shows them nothing but smiles and affection.

Threatens his teammates every day to be nice to his S/O.

His S/O cried when they saw the great Pyrenees being a cute puffball. Scout then took Fluffy to the other room and calmly asked him to turn it down a notch.

Fluffy doesn’t give a fuck. He’s a fucking baller.

Scout surprises his S/O often with cute animals or treats because he adores them.

His S/O cries tears of happiness but that just makes Scout smile and smother them with kisses after a small panic attack.

Sniper:

He didn’t know how to handle his S/O at first and that freaked him out.

But after analyzing them, he managed to figure out what makes them tick.

He’s very gentle and affectionate, flashing his S/O smiles and a wink every so often.

Sniper only informs his teammates after they’ve accidentally made his S/O cry.

He calmly leads his S/O out of the room and glares at his teammates before disappearing into the hallway.

Everyone got the message, it’s now one of those unspoken rules to make sure Sniper’s S/O doesn’t cry again unless its tears of happiness.

If one particular teammate makes Sniper’s S/O cry again he’ll go out of his way to snipe them out of the next battle, doesn’t give a shit if they’re on the same team.

Gets yelled at by Miss Pauling often because of it.

Spy:

His S/O is his precious flower and treats them as such.

His S/O rarely ever sees his ‘professional’ face, which he doesn’t intend to show a lot around them.

It takes Spy a long time to introduce his teammates to his S/O and made sure to warn his crew beforehand.

Everyone behaves like good children, except for Scout.

However, the S/O doesn’t mind Scout and only laughs at him.

Spy is silently happy but doesn’t show it.

Everyone sees how gentle Spy is to his S/O and it shocks them.

Spy doesn’t care all that much, he’s much too occupied with his loved one.

Engineer:

He’s the kindest to his S/O, constantly showering them with kisses and affection.

Engie goes out of his way to comfort his S/O, giving them warm hugs and soft pecks on their forehead.

Sometimes make his S/O hot chocolate or some delicious pancakes.

Engie talks with them quietly to calm them down when they’ve cried.

He calmly informs his teammates about his S/O before they meet.

He doesn’t threaten them, he’s all smiles and blushes.

His teammates are extra nice to the S/O, much to Engie’s pleasure.

Engie and his S/O are no doubt one of the cutest couples the earth had ever seen.

Everyone treasures them.

Demo:

Demo is surprised at how easy it is to make his S/O cry. Not that he’s ever tried to on purpose.

Demo rubs their shoulders and rests his chin on their head, whispering soft encouragements.

When he’s drunk and he sees his S/O crying he instantly turns into that drunk college girl that compliments everyone.

Demo lays face down in the kitchen floor, screaming beautiful bits of poetry and silly compliments at his S/O.

His S/O stops crying and starts laughing, making Demo proud of himself.

Sometimes Demo cries with his S/O which ends in sweets and some cheesy movie.

He’s not ashamed of it, he loves his S/O.

Pyro:

OH NO! PYRO’S S/O IS CRYING?!

Pyro cries with them no matter what.

Pyro holds the S/O close and snuggles lovingly.

No one dares to upset Pyro’s S/O, they’re just too scared.

Every once in awhile Pyro shares their massive collection of stuffed animals and shoves them in the S/O’s arm.

The S/O never has to feel embarrassed about crying so much because Pyro cries just as much.

Pyro manages to make the S/O laugh after every cry, Pyro hates when their S/O is upset.

Soldier:

“WHY ARE YOU CRYING, SOLDIER? STOP THAT, ssSTooOP-”

Starts crying too. But it’s manly tears.

But Soldier takes his S/O’s hands into his own and reassures them that there’s nothing to cry about.

He yells at his teammates to be nice nearly every day when his S/O isn’t around, he doesn’t want to frighten his dear love.

Soldier often amuses his S/O to keep them from crying, there’s usually raccoons involved.

If he sees a tear threatening to fall he will either distract them by hurting himself or holding them tenderly.

He’s nice to his S/O and constantly gives them praise just for existing.

Hey there, can we please have some headcanons on the love languages of the mercs?

these are going to be quick because i don’t really want to write for all nine but i love this request so here we go

Scout: Physical TouchThis doesn’t only include sex, though he’s all for it as you can imagine. Nothing makes this boy happier than getting to hold your hand while you two are walking side by side or running a hand down your back while you cuddle. For as much as he loves to talk, he just feels like words aren’t enough when it comes to you.

Soldier: Words of AffirmationJane Doe is a man that means what he says and if he says you’re extra cute today, you have no choice but to accept it as the truth. He’ll find the smallest things to compliment you, often at the most inappropriate timing, shouted at the top of his lungs, and very him, but at least he’ll never be embarrassed to say “I love you”.

Pyro: Gift GivingThey’ll bring you whatever they think will make you happy or reminds them of you - no matter what. You’re fairly certain most of the items are either stolen or plucked off the bodies of their victims, if the slight singeing and smell of smoke were any indication.

Demoman: Physical TouchAnother touchy-feely guy. When he’s got you in one of his infamous bear hugs or you’re snuggled under his arm, he’s the happiest man on Earth. While you’re sharing a beer with the other mercs, he’ll pull you down to his lap and cover your face in sloppy kisses, much to the other’s exasperation and your delight.

Heavy: Quality TimeNo distractions, no teammates trying to kill each other - just you and him in your own little world. Even if he’s absolutely exhausted from being out in the field, he’ll make the time to sit with you and talk, genuinely listening to what you have to say. He might not look it, but Misha is a fantastic conversationalist when he opens up to you.

Engineer: Acts of ServiceYou don’t know how he does it, spending hours upon hours in his workshop while also checking in on you, making delicious meals for everyone, and not taking no for an answer when it comes to your own chores. His helpfulness is often taken advantage of, so take over cooking dinner for this poor man and he’ll love you forever.

Medic: Quality TimeFor him to feel truly connected to a person, Medic needs to be challenged intellectually by them or he’ll quickly get bored. Sometimes, he’ll even start arguments just to pick your brain and see what truly matters to you. As time passes, he’ll still be by your side through thick and thin.

Sniper: Physical TouchIt’s uncharted territory for him when he starts enjoying your presence - even more so when he just wants to hold you and not let go. Eloquence was never his strong suit so the slow, quiet hours spent with you in his tower perch mean the world to him. He could die a happy man when you let him rest his head on your lap.

Spy: Words of AffirmationOne might assume it would be gifts with just how many he sends you while undercover, but his words are worth their weight in gold. He’s almost embarrassed by how gushy he can get around you, but the pretty blush from his compliments is well worth it. He will never miss an opportunity to tell you how radiant you are or how special you make him feel.
