listen i recently became obsessed with the amount of television shows that have a mystery person knocking on the protagonist's door as a major finale cliffhanger, and it got me thinking, and now we have this list that a few immensely talented people helped me with! that said, we know the drill by now. Cordelia flips the sign on the Cafe's door, signaling it's closing time to anyone passing by. Her parents are doing their closing tasks, Cordelia walking up to her friends. Arius sits in one of the booths with Angel, Julian, and Adria, each of them following along as Arius folds origami paper slowly.

"They're learnin' ta make a crane."

Arius replies, glancing at Cordelia. Learning is... a good word for it, Julian's crane has tons of wrinkles and tears, Angel's is a bit better less wrinkles but definitely not as impressive as Arius'. Adria's is the closest looking to Arius', though her folds left a lot of blank space...

"Ha, Arius has already taught me a few. I can make a crane, but I can also make a flapping bird!"

"Flapping?"

"Mhm! You pull the tail and the wings move! But there's so many difficult ones Arius makes. Hang on lemme look through my photos..."

"If ya really want a betta teacher, ask my dad. He's the one that taught me."

"For Squidmas Eve, normally my family goes down to the domes in Octo Valley to visit our grandparents, but this year Haru was sick and we didn’t want to get them sick. So I went out with a few friends at night instead while our dad went to see them early in the day."

Julian chews excitedly on his fish chewlery as he unwraps a few gifts from his fellow agents. While he might not know his official birthday, the new year meant a new birthday for him. (And all the agents had their own New Year’s plans so… they came over the next day)

“Thank you!”

He says it every time he unwraps a gift, though his favorites are a pair of fuzzy socks that looked like Small Fries. Angel made them for him (and he immediately put them on when he saw them). Cordelia made him his cake like she does for the rest of the agents. He’s happy, the chatter of his friends around him lighting up the room.

"IT'S SNOWING!!"

"SNOOOOOOOOOWWW!!!"

The two boys immediately rush outside, not exactly properly dressed for the snow but enough that they'd keep warm for a bit. They start throwing snowballs at each other and jumping around in the snow, Sylvia and Apollo standing by the front door.

"Huh... Can't remember the last time we had a proper White Squidmas..."

Apollo chuckles, adjusting his scarf a bit.

"Hah. Usually it's either ice, rain, or nothing. Winter is a little fickle..."

Both Cordelia and Julian flop onto the ground, the dusting of snow below them barely enough to make a snow angel. The two of them happily attempt to make snow angels, Angel watching them.

"Hehe... All I must do to make a snow angel is step outside and let the snow fall on me."

She giggles to herself, Lil Buddy hiding under her back tentacles to avoid the cold.
