Just found a YouTube video where some guy uses a Scout TF2 VRChat avatar to talk about some Jesus geometry.

got high & played tf2 yesterday and everytime this guy in the lobby was rude i spent like 5 minutes typing out his name which he hated for some reason

does anyone else feel like video games are taking a quick turn into only being accessible by upper class streamers and shit rather than to actually be played by a wider audience, like ever since VR happened and it was outrageously inaccessible and i knew maybe one out of hundreds of IRL friends who had one to the point that everyone knew they had one and we would all schedule to hang out to get the chance to play VR and it just steadily became harder and harder to keep up with the gaming culture of dropping hundreds upon hundreds not just for the console but to consistently keep paying (you need online subs to play with your friends on everything, most people i know who turned to consoles specifically did so because it’s easier than buying a $1000+ PC but that is no longer the case) like… it’s depressing that video games are becoming an upper class hobby to watch from the sidelines because i can’t consistently pump out thousands to keep up with everything lol

in my most recent game of team defense fort 2 i was banned from a 24/7 hightower pony rp server for screaming ‘incoming gamer!’ into my mic every time i respawned or charged as demoman. and i have to say, nothing really prepares you for the sensation of hearing a grown man say with no hint of irony in his voice, ‘mr sex goblin, if you dont stop saying that im banning you from ponyville forever’

Back when I played TF2, approx a thousand years ago, I mainly played Heavy. Both the things I really remember from those games involved medics.

1. I was Heavy. I had a medic with me. He took some damage while healing me, so when that fight was over I threw down a sandvich in front of him. He did nothing. I looked at him, looked back to the sandvich and waggled my gun at it. He picked it up and typed in the chat something like “thank you so much, nobody usually pays attention to my health” and it was a sad, sad moment we shared together.

2. Heavy. Again. I’ve got a Medic with me and he’s the best. He’s at my back, following me close but not too close, keeping me topped up and staying out of the way. I see him get headshot by a Sniper after standing still in an open area, so I type in the chat “Hey Gregory, you’re doing really good at this but you need to move around more. Other than that you’re the best Medic I’ve had!” Ten seconds later, somebody types “Gregory’s a bot, dude.” and that was the last game of TF2 I ever played.
