Fun facts about my au for until I have more to post:

-Looey’s head stays at roughly his two health size and his ears remain flaccid unless he gets stressed or excited, then they inflate how your blood pressure works.

-Glisten had his license suspended and has to walk everywhere because he’s really bad at driving

-Glisten is really really heavy (he’s made of gold)

-Rodger has a wood grain pattern on his skin

-boxten’s little shadow hands are genetic, he gets them from his dad.

-Finn’s fish isn’t a part of him in any way and they can 100% live seperate from one another.

-Looey, shrimpo, and Finn are in a band and goob occasionally helps them with editing their music together, which is usually Looey’s job but he lets goob do it sometimes because Finn thinks goob is like the pinnacle of all that is cool and Looey likes to see him happy (one sided clownfish 💔💔💔)

-the entire au is based on my hometown and very real places there

-everyone has at least a little southern twang, but the Connie’s employees play it up because they get more tips when they lean into it

-Rnd did theater in high school because after Dazzle’s asthma got too bad to keep playing football they needed something they could both agree on, and they agreed musical theatre was enough of both their interests to settle on

-Glisten is on estrogen because he’s afraid of twink death (it made him look even more like his mother)

-Rnd are cracked at Fortnite Festival

-Looey’s legal name is Lucy and he went by lulu in school before he transitioned

-Finn’s first name is Matthew, finnigan is his middle name.

-scraps, goob, razzle, and dazzle are all car nuts

Pt 3. RAZZLE AND DAZZLE!!

For the sake of length I’m gonna be referring to them as Raz and D cause that’s what they go by in the story. Also while I’m here I’m gonna set a boundary that I don’t wanna see any “what if they were born separated” about them disability is a huge part of their story and I don’t want that to be erased!

They were born out of wedlock to their beautiful mother and their ugly ass father. Growing up they had a LOT of health issues, and needed help with a lot of things like eating (mostly D needed help because his esophagus is all fucked up) and their dad couldn’t handle the stress of raising them and walked out on them (men ain’t shit)

So their mama moved in with her parents while she raised razz and d so the whole family is pretty tight knit.

Cut to them in early school, they had a lot of fun picked at them but by the time middle school rolled around the weird questions and comments about their disabilites generally stopped. This is about the time they started eating lunch with everyone else because they didn’t need the nurse’s help anymore. d and glisten started talking over similar interests like Pokémon tcg, and raz joined the football team and started talking to Cosmo and sprout.

High school rolls around and Rnd are still on the football team, but this is when cosmo and sprout’s torment of d kind of begins. They’ve always poked fun at him but it’s getting worse and more mean.

Raz (if not actively partaking) kind of just lets it happen because he doesn’t think they mean anything by it and that d just needs to toughen up a bit because d’s always been a bit of a cry baby.

Early junior year they had to quit football because d kept having really bad asthma attacks and their doctor said they had to quit playing football, which really fucked them over because they had a full ride scholarship to college FOR their football because they were both actually pretty good.

D quit their book club to be fair and they ended up both joining theater with boxten, Looey and glisten because it was close enough to both to keep them both entertained.

High school ended and they fell out with pretty much everyone, but they started picking up jobs wherever they could. To help their grandparents and ma out.

They kind of started dealing and delivering drugs just for a little extra cash while they start working at Connie’s and reunite with scraps and goob and eventually glisten when he starts working there

Glisten (who he didn’t recognize at first) and Rnd kind of start going out for drinks and texting again and doing…..stuff…

That’s where I’m gonna cut this off because this is where the actual story starts and I don’t wanna spoil it

Pt 2. Glisten!!!

This is very poorly written

Okay so lemme set up glistens family dynamic real quick

His mother kind of got with his dad for money not in the loveless way though she loves her babies dearly. But his dad is a pastor at the garden view Catholic Church.

His older brother Shimmer and his dad were the closer ones while he mostly kind of clung onto his mom. His dad never liked him? He never knew why they just didn’t click like he and his mom did.

Anyways glistens childhood was mostly uneventful. He was friends with scraps and Rnd throughout elementary school and up until middle school until his dad told them they couldn’t hang out anymore because he saw his disability as a sign he was “demonic” and said it wasn’t any coincidence they had horns. He’s kind of isolated throughout his whole schooling career

Glisten and Rnd stopped talking until high school when they reconnected and glisten realized he can just not listen to his dad. This is around the time when glistens friend group really started forming because scraps and Looey became friends and boxten moved to town. Glisten and scraps started dating around this point and dated until the end of highschool. They kissed once at prom and decided they hated it.

After high school glisten and scraps broke up and glisten and boxten started hanging out more. At this point glisten is kind of questioning his sexuality? Like it dawned on him that he never once was attracted to scraps (and spent more time looking at her brother) or any other girl he talked to. And he realized he was lowkey kinda into nerds (boxten)

He and boxten got together pretty shortly after high school under the guise of “marrying your friend because you’re both single” but it got serious fast yada yada no one CARES 💔💔 Glistens dad walks in on them holding hands and flips the fuck OUT (catholic) n tells him he can’t see boxten anymore n whatnot and glisten is like “yk what FUCKKKK you.” Packs his shit (a few changes of clothes. He was so under prepared) and leaves.

He texts boxten (who had already walked home atp) and is like “dude I’m homeless as fuck rn my job at the gas station is NOT paying for an apartment rn” but boxten’s mom? She CLUTCHES.

glisten and boxten live with boxten’s mom for about 3 months before getting an apartment of their own in town and living together for about a year before breaking up due to glistens insecurity and boxten needing to move away for school (he’s going to become a music teacher) and glisten regrets this for the rest of his life.

A few years go by and Glisten quits from Nikki and Bono’s and gets a job at Connie’s where he, scraps, Rnd reunite and start talking again. Things are good if he ignores how he’s slowly kind of started drinking when he gets lonely. He misses always having someone nearby.

Anyways he’s worked at Connie’s for about a year at this point. He and Rnd kind of in doomed five night stand situation I will cover better when RND’s post comes which will probably be next because he is a main character here.

PT 1. READ ME FIRST

Rodger and Teagan got married at 19 and 20 because Teagan got pregnant with toodles and the marriage has been a little rocky

Rodger? He wants to be a detective and he is! No murders for him to investigate. He lives in a small town and is basically unemployed. Every once in a while he gets commissioned to stalk people’s socials to like find out if they’re cheating, yk? Anyways he’s not bringing much income in but he watches toodles a lot.

Teagan is the bread winner here definitely. She works at a hospital in poalkerburg (town right over you feel me?) as a janitor with Tisha.

Toodles is 9 in my au but she’s really close with her mom. They just talk more and are into more similar things.

Tisha like her cool friend who gives her advice I’m still working out Tisha’s story but she’s in an like a situationship with Brightney.

Anyways glisten next tune in next time I feel like writing a wall of text his is gonna be probably twice as long

This is my au it has like 30 years of lore I’ll make a post on each character or a group of them depending on how important to the story they are this is also pretty ship heavy and I’m a multishipper but it’s in the “they dated and it didn’t work out” way most of the time (it’s always ALWAYS glisten)
