NEW CONSTITUTION

The New French Constitution (very simplified version): Every Frenchman and woman is equal, and will be afforded equal rights and protections under the law, under full democracy This includes the right to one free French Fry per day. 3 Free baguettes per month will be subsidised per family. The official state religion of France will henceforth be Buddhism, although the free practice of all religions will be tolerated under the French government. The leader initially placed in power will be Napoleon as President (with Jean Jaques Rousseau as Vice-President), with a four-year term ending with a democratic election. The National Assembly will continue to ally with and support the United States of America in cultivating the two countries’ independences. The monarchy will be abolished outright. Members of the Royal Family will be imprisoned in the Bastille. The Feudal System shall be abolished with the establishment of a National Assembly. All Estates are null and void, all men are equal Presidents will be elected by free and fair elections via universal suffrage and secret ballot This will act as the executive branch of the government. There will be fair taxation for all citizens of France.

Monarch Press Release

By the grace of GOD, I, King Louis the XVI am happy to announce that all of the revolutionary troops that have been attacking the Bastille have now converted to Jainism. I do not support the discrimination of religions and I am happy to announce that the violent revolutionaries have suddenly turned into peaceful citizens of France who are working towards finding the collective good of the society. They have now ceased to be violent and they are now working towards finding a peaceful solution not just for French citizens, but all living things that are living in France. I can not understate the happiness that I am feeling right now since I truly believe that this major conversion to Jainism will result in our citizens, whether previously revolutionaries or not to live in harmony and peace. The troops conversion to Jainism would mean that the violence and fighting between the monarchy and the revolutionaries have successfully ceased. I can also cheerfully announce that the revolutionary troops have now recognized me as their true king and they are now responding to my commands and infallible advice instead of the evil revolutionary leaders (Robespierre, etc.) To commemorate this peaceful victory, this day will be marked in French history for perpetuity. Crisis Update

The monarchy has donated to a local monastery with the goal of converting revolutionary soldiers to Christianity. However, instead soldiers have converted to Buddhism and are no longer participating in the war for either side.

We need to knock off the revolutionaries who are taking full advantage of us and are subjugating us to tragique conditions. PLEASE SAVE US FROM THE GRIPS OF THESE HORRIFIC “REVOLUTIONARIES” who are putting us in such terrible conditions and subjecting us to terrible sanitation and are denying us of our basic liberties and rights. To everyone showing sympathy to the Monarchy, they are displaying clearly repressive treatment and depriving us of basic food and sanitation. Furthermore, in order for the revolutionaries to gather their large army, they have abducted innocent children and teenagers from their homes to help them fight for this malevolent cause. The soldiers wholeheartedly agree that a constitutional monarchy is the government that will be saving us all, and we beg everyone who has read this to stop siding with the wicked and immoral Revolutionaries. We have successfully taken back St Jacques, St Germain, Champs Elysees, Palais Bourbon, Hotel des Invalides, St Genevieve, Jardin du Roi, The Louvre, Palais Royal, The Feuillants, and Place Vendome. We are gaining more influence and support from the general public for a revolution in France, away from the tyrants and selfish monarchy and towards a fairer and more just governmental body within this great nation. We have been providing better living conditions, and reforming the areas that have been under our justice. The King and his corrupt family which have been tormenting the civilians for years is very close to being liberated. Compare our treatment of the civilians with the old regime. The latter contains rampant poverty, misery, and inequality where the stomachs of the royals remain bloated, and the stomachs of the average, hollow. Do you recall those avaricious landlords who drain your hard earned money? Do you recall the dank and dirty, tattered and torn houses that they stuffed you into? Do you recall when you had to be humiliated for some pieces of bread? Because by supporting the monarchists these horrible memories will manifest in reality. With this knowledge, the fires of the revolution will forever remain and expand until it encompasses the entirety of France, and until the incompetent monarchy is removed, we must dare, and dare again, and go on daring. To the good people of France, If you have ever been doubtful of our cause, it has come to our attention that our own monarchs, King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinnette have been caught sneaking out ‘on vacation’. This shirking of their duties, this abandonment of their roles, this irresponsibility to their own kingdom is a microcosm of their attitude towards the common folk of France. Through this, they dictate that the lives of the French people are not worth their attention, and that your suffering is merely an inconvenience for them, for they exist in a paradigm where the ground below them is worth more than your existence. If anything, this portrays their inability to handle the situation at hand, they are crumbling under the weight of their failures, and wish to seek refuge in pleasures and desires that the average Frenchman would find incomprehensible. Knowing this, we must ask ourselves: Are these people truly fit to rule? The King’s last press release is completely and entirely laughable. Does the monarchy truly believe that they can right all wrongs simply by writing a “parliament”? The monarchy has tormented us under their regime for years, and years of suffering cannot be fixed with a single statement. Instead of placing trust in a monarchy that has never aided us in our years of torment, is it not better to trust and put support in the people who have been suffering alongside you all throughout these years? The monarchy has only been spreading lies and fake news, whereas we have been tirelessly fighting for the sake of everyone's justice, while the king lounges lazily in a palace of drunks. From His Royal Majesty King Louis XVI: Create a people’s parliament for more representation from the working masses of France. State that the majority of this parliament will be the regular working masses and will be able to pass legislation regarding subsidies and positive reforms for the working masses. The Monarchy seeks to create a more democratic framework to remove the absolute autocracy which was held in the past. This is seen as a new era for people’s representation and democracy to aid the plight of the people against the repressive revolutionaries. With these changes in the constitution, it can be safe to say that the people of France, no matter the class or status, will have their voices and concerns heard. They will also be able to take action towards the problems they see as most urgent.
