if you dont want print media to die, buy physical copies of things. if you don’t want independent journalism to die, subscribe to a local newspaper. if you want more libraries and skate-parks and arcades, get a bunch of friends and call in the individual charge of your village or town or whatever and ask for one to be built and use the existing ones. if you want more native flora and fauna, start looking at the ones that already exist and how to preserve them. this is your world too. fight for it. get rid of the rot of passivity.

while i'm still kicking the hornets nest a bit here, I just want to say that I think it's funny that 'gifted kid burnout' has become such a widespread sentiment that people who were not in gifted programs but still received pressure to perform academically identify with it, and yet none of these people have figured it out that that children being pressured, physically and emotionally abused by teachers and parents, made to tie their self worth to their grades, made to think of their classmates as competition, etc are not unique experiences to the higher achieving but intended experiences for all children as they are digested by the school system

JUSTIFICATION:

"Juggler is obnoxious in Orb and transition would have made her worse. Idk if her parents hated her or what to give her that kind of name but I think she'd keep it out of spite of refusing to compromise who she is. She's stubborn, impulsive at times, and veeeeery attached to her stupid ex. It still wouldn't change anything she did in all three of those shows, in fact it would probably have made her worse, but at least she'd have the satisfaticion of not living a lie to throw in her ex's face so good on her for that.

Personal Biases influencing my case: I love a girl with a sword, and Juggler's Serpent-Hearted Blade glows purple (the best color In My Humble Opinion).

Closing argument: Juggler is either a Kaijuu with a human form or a human with a Majin form. Please note that Juggler has also cameod on Kaijuu Girls. Since Juggler fits the Kaijuu criteria to be on the show, why couldn't she fit the Girl criteria aswell?" - Anonymous

thinking about the poll about canon vs non-canon ships that didn't define terms, and the current fandom focus on things "going canon," so i made up a scale.

this is NOT a question about whether canon matters to what you ship (or matters at all), just how to define the phrase "canon ship."

many ships start low on the scale and slow burn their way up, so vote for the point when you would have called them "canon." i agonized over the order (especially #4-6) for a day and a half, but i went with the order in which i think joe random with a nielsen ratings box and no tumblr account would notice/call something a romantic relationship.

also re last post i think a crucial part of treating your ace friends like you actually respect them is not acting like non-sexual content and child-friendly content are the same thing. which also means not assuming all stories and media aimed at adults need to contain sex (@ creators, take note). because it's shitty to be an adult and find that there is nothing out there written for someone like you and everyone's suggestions are always for children's media. there's nothing wrong with kidlit etc but sometimes, you know, you're an adult, you want stories that reflect the fact that you're an adult, and you want acknowledgement that adulthood and interest in sex are not synonyms. and likewise when you are writing non sexual content for an adult audience it sucks to have people assume it's meant to be for kids and to expect it to fulfil a purpose it wasn't made for
