I love it when people draw fanart of fantasy adventurers in present-day AUs and they want their outfits to show off their muscles to the same extent as their original costumes, so they basically settle on having them dress like obnoxious gym rats. Most of the time they don't even seem to be aware of what they're implying about these characters' lifestyles, but I live close enough to a gym that it's inescapable for me. Your modern AU version of what's-her-name has 100% attempted to break the ice on a date by rambling about protein supplements, all right? I'm imagining her putting her maximum bench press in her Twitter bio and you can't stop me.
